Are you a 'typical' collingwood supporter?
Alright, we all know the stereotype - Few teeth, haven't showered in weeks, consistantly drunk, overly abusive towards umpires (cos they deserve it after today), etc...

Is anyone here actually like that? I know myself personally I'm the opposite in everyway excect I still hang it on the umpires... But if you are like that, not trying to offend or anything, just wondering!

I love the sterotype and just tell people Ive got my 'falsies' in if they ask why I have so much teeth for a pie fan. They can say what they want I dont care as we ARE the best club and they all know it too haha its that attitude that pisses em off the most - no better come back than that

Whoa, I'm not trying to offend or anything like that... I don't have a problem with anyonewhois or isn't like that.

And personally, I let freakin fly at the umpires against north... good greif...

It's a priviledge to call my self a Collingwood supporter along with anyone with or without teeth, rich or poor, well-spoken or not, who follows the Club with passion and deep loyalty. Rather than taking it as offensive criticism by other teams' supporters, I am proud that Collingwood embraces all people whatever their circumstances. "I don't care what you think"... my favorite Magpie bumper sticker.

Every club has its ferals, but I must say I have a full set of teeth, I shower daily, don't drink and give out the occasional abuse to the ******s. I reckon Richmond supporters are worse.

i am not like that either... and i am sick of the constant stereotyping to that effect! It is hard when i am trying to raise kids to love the game and yet they want to know why Collingwood supporters are hated so much! I just tell them people are jealous of our team lol... flew over for carlton collingwood game... such a $#$@#$@@# crap day! all round

It all stems back from half a century ago when the club looked after the people who were out of work or had hardly any money. We became the working class mans team and with that you get a lot of people who either come from the wrong side of the tracks or didnt fit the sterotype of a normal person.
I think that no longer exists but other clubs fans hold onto it as some sort of payout. Hell i know a lot more corporate Collingwood fans then other sides.

Not me...I am middle class upstanding citizen with all my teeth,no drunken behaviour but just a fierce passion for the mighty ones

The stereotype's bull****.

Are you kidding Brent? There's no such thing as a 'typical' collingwood supporter. The same goes for supporters of any club. We come from all walks of life, all social and economic classes, and all have different levels of support and passion for our clubs. The fact so many non-collingwood supporters like to promote the collingwood stereotype comes down to jealousy. All clubs have some pretty feral supporters. It's ridiculous for people to judge a persons character or appearance based upon which football club they support. That's akin to judging someone based on the colour of their skin, or the balance of their bank account! Don't get sucked in by the second rate unoriginal 'comedians' who like to joke about all collingwood supporters being toothless, dole bludging, and stupid. They're just reflecting their own stupidity in doing so.
