Whats the best Blues game you ever went to?
I was at the 1999 prelim... but i was a bit too young to appreciate the atmosphere.
last years massive comeback against the dons was a classic...
fev bagged 8. what a hero

Any game we played at Princes Park where the blues would go in at half time a couple of goals down only too have a third quarter blitz and thrash our opposition. How sad no more home ground. Collo sold the blues down the drain with the pathetic telstra dome deal. I wish we didn't play any games there and believe playing there compared to Optus oval costs us about 5 wins a year. So ignored we became a sell out. Optus oval still has one of the best surfaces in the AFL. Unlike the rock hard slippery Telstra dome where players can't get into any space. We should play the majority of home games at the MCG at least we get to see some free running skillful game.

1994. Yes, THE lovely year! Drove from Cairns to Vic. Game against Richmond at Optus Oval. Sold out. My conning ex-boyfriend scamming guys on gate we were from Raging Thunder in Cairns here to do 1/2 time display. Gave fictional 'boss' name. Paged around, no answer. Surprise! Security says all he can do is let us in and fend for ourselves. Get in - MEMBERS STAND. Got to see my beloved Blues for 1st time ever and watch as players come up after match! Totally awesome!!!

this time last year when we came back from 40+ points down to beat the dons was pretty special

Yep, game in 02 i think vs adelaide in about round 20...we came back from 50 points down or so and fevola kicked that magical goal from 50 out on the boundary...watch the replays on afl.com.au it still makes me smile

Was 2004 and 2005 3 of 4 games we played Collingwood, both games in 04 beat them by a point in one and no much more in the other, got to love come from behind wins and all wins against the Pies are the sweetest!

when carlton beat essendon by a point in the priliminary final, in the early nineties. it was gold almost better than a flag, il never forget murphy throw that ball up when the siren went.

At risk of sounding boring, the 1999 Prelim sticks in my mind also. Front row, top deck, right behind the goals at the Punt Road End, with just my Essendon-supporting mate with me. I would have been 13 at the time, though.

1995 Grand Final, 16th win in a row to win the 16th Flag...Silvagni kept Ablett goaless, Justin Madden kicked a Grand Final goal on the "run", Greg Williams on fire winning the Norm Smith Medal. I remember the headlines at the beginning of the year "CARLTON DINOSAURS NEAR EXTINCTION!" How wrong they were...Justin Madden/Barnes match up was experience vs youth and Madden wiped the floor with him..Now for 2008!
