I think it was expected of him that he would step up this year. He has clearly put in the work in the gym, also the influence of guys like Juddy haven't hurt him. I think he will continue getting better for a few years yet. Can't wait

What a number 1 pick he has turned out to be. Normally players suffer from the second year blues but Gibbs has only become better. In a few more years time he'll be the kind of player that can play anywhere on the ground and just may not have a weakness.

He looks like a man out there now and not a kid which he is. What i like about him is he kicks the ball a lot more than he handballs, which shows his confidence. Plus he is a beautiful field kick. Has great core strength the Carlton fitness staff are probably doin the best job in the whole club. Especially the way we are finishing quarters off.

He was only old enough for last year's draft by about a week, so he's pretty much the same age as this year's draftees. So I don't think any of us could have reasonably expected him to be where he is by this stage.
