Did anyone read the review of the game in the Herald Sun? The twit who wrote it actually suggested that Richardson being off in the final quarter had a major bearing on the game. What game was he watching?Richo got absolutely spanked by Waite, and all he could manage was one fumbly bounced goal. I get the feeling that the media has just replaced the pornos under their beds with pictures of Richardson, because they seem to think he is some sort of God at the moment.
How satisfying was it to see the most selfish player in the league (yes, even more selfish than Dale Thomas) kick seven behinds? I enjoy every bit of that arrogant little mongrel's pain.
It was nice to see Fisher return to some form - not terrific form; he still made a few poor choices, but it was a vast improvement on where he's been. And I hope Wiggins won over a few of his knockers with that mark in the final quarter.
And did you see the top tacklers? Stevens - 10; next best - 5. Stevens would never had been five tackles clear on top of a tackles list in his career. No doubt he stepped up to the captaincy plate in Judd's absence - and I have no doubt that not being given the captaincy ahead of Judd helped him develop that drive and tenacity.
