Daniel Kerr at Carlton
No chance...the reason why we've been bottom of the ladder for the past 6 years was the salary cap...Fevola, Judd and Stevens don't come cheap...nor will Murphy, Gibbs and Kreuzer by 2010. Jarryd Waite would be looking for more money too considering he made the Victorian side this year. Daniel Kerr will be looking for big bucks. We'd have to trade a Marc Murphy to get him. No thanks.
We don't need another on-baller we need a centre-half back. Jarryd Waite is a forward line player NOT a defender...he loves kicking goals and its time the coaching staff at the blues realise he's not his dad (he doesn't belt blokes while they're not looking for a start!)
Houlihan and Walker are due back round 18...don't know where we'll fit them...perhaps on the bench (lol)...
3 weeks time will show us how far we've come...I've been to sick to death of being thrashed by the saints...we haven't beaten them for years...Riewoldt and Milne always kill us...it's time to return the favour...go blues!

Judd's is a heavily front loaded contract, Swann has publicly stated we have room in the cap for one more 'big name'...no offence, but if it came to choosing between believing what you're saying about the clubs finances, or what the head administrator is saying about the club's finances, I will believe Swann every time. That said, I do not believe Kerr will leave the Eagles.

To say we don't need another on-baller makes sense, to say we don't need another A-Grade Top-Shelf talent midfielder is ridiculous. Players of Kerr's calibre win you GF's and dont just grow on trees so thankfully you're not on the Carlton Board. The club will inquire about all quality un-contracted players during trade time, and I have great faith in Swann, Wayne Hughes, Sticks and Pratt going forward that they will make the correct recruiting decisions..
