Judd
To all those who believe Judd isnt as good as he was at west coast, i believe stats tells the story as he leads the afl in contested possesions.

it is a good stat considering his limited game time due to getting over his groin injury and is still not kicking his full distance and doesnt sprint unless he has the ball, so i believe he is still not 100%.

and to all those guys that believe judd is there favourite player, game on if yu were a young kid yeh ok i can see it but come on, he cpuld be the best player in the afl, but its his first season at the club, you cant be that loyal if judd is your favourite player, come on, he hasnt been there through everything, there has to be others that have been at the club and shown to be a true blue.

Ryan my Supercoach team is called i'dturngay4juddy. I reckon if I got in bed with him and Rebecca I'd cuddle up to him first haha.

Judd has been my fav player for at least 4 years. Some people can objectively watch footy and have players from other clubs they love. In the 90's I loved G Ablett as much as Sticks (except against us). At the moment Ablett Jnr is one I love to watch and I find myself barracking for him. So you can't say people arent loyal as I have been member for years. Can't get more loyal than that.

Judd was my fav when he was at the Eagles. He isn't as good as he was in 05/06. He doesn't have the same ability to bust tackles that he used too. Yes he is a star. Yes he leads the league in contested posessions. Yes he is a good chance for the Brownlow. But he still has a little way to go before he is as good as he was. One question though. Would the Blues be in the position they are in if he wasn't there?

to answer yor question. NO WAY!! This team isnt much better than it was last year its just playing with a lot more confidence. Most of the confidence has been given by Ratten but i also believe that Judds leadership has helped alot.

I do have to agree with you there somewhat Adrian, I think the Confidence boost is mostly due to Ratten's coaching and Judd's presence, other things that have contributed are that the likes of FEV and Scotland are now stepping up to more senior roles on the field, The younger players continue to improve with more confidence which is gained by experience,

I read an article in today's paper about the Blues and it has Ratten saying that some players had been getting "free games" but that is now going to stop, players will have to earn their keep (so to speak), i think that move will instill more confidence in the team because they will know that they have worked hard to get a spot in the side and are not just there by default, A lot of the reserve grade players are playing very well and are fighting for a spot in the side so hopefully that will keep them on their game......

But really, that's why the club pays Ratten and his coaching staff......

I just love the way that there can be a swarm of players round the ball, all trying to get hold of it, and the next thing out flies Judd with the ball and off he goes. Maybe he'll never be as good as he once was and I saw an interview on Austar (on the couch I think) and he said he still has another 5 or 10% to go fitness wise, but if he does improve that little bit more, look out

what makes Judd so good is that hes changes his style to fit his fittness level. He cant do those gut busting runs currently so hes become a hard player that just gives off the ball and never recieves it.

A little stat to prove it in two weeks when we played West Coast and Brisbane he had over 50 touches and 1 mark (I may be wrong but thats what i heard) in West Caost a 25+ possi game would have resulted in about 8 marks as he would be running into space all day. Right now he cant do that but hes still just as affectave.

An absolute superstar.
