Darren Pfeiffer
Can anyone please tell me why Pfeiffer is not playing. I was really impressed with him in the pre season and the games he has played for us I don't think he has done anything wrong to be dropped. He goes in hard and kicked a couple of nice goals (one to win us the game). Is he naughty off the field or something, or am I just wrong and hes crap?

Pfeiffer has been left out of the side for match-up reasons. The Blues decided to go in a little taller against the Cats but I dont think the move paid off as Pfeiffers hardness at the contest, forward 50 pressure and endeavour was sorely missed. Although he does look like a single speed player, I think he can look forward to a decent career with the Blues.

I am glad to see him in the squad this week and I hope he gets a game. I heard a rumour that he was naughty in SA that is why they let him go and I was just hoping this wasn't true as I believe he could be a really good player for us. I love his hardness at the ball.

I don't think he was naughty as such, but he has admitted to not applying himself as hard as he should have. Certainly nothing like that other guy we got from Adelaide.

I agree that match-ups were the key against Geelong - I think they wanted to inject pace, so Armfield got the nod. I've seen nothing wrong with Pfeiffer's performances, but I also wouldn't suggest he's won a permanent place yet.
