Is Jamieson our best or most important kid on the list
I reckon Jamieson is probably is most important young player on our list.

Reasons
Marc Murphy will be a gun but just another midfielder
Gibbs will be solid 100 plus player for club but in what role
Kreuzer main challenger to Jamieson for this mantke
Russell ???? and now 21-22 step up man
Browne looks ok has guts
Jamieson is holding down Fullback magnificently and will release other players like Thorton to play more suitable roles. He knows when to spoil and when to attack and has solid skills. I reckon if he keeps going like he is we have found a 200 plus key position player.

What do you guys reckon

I am a huge rap for jamo, i believe he is unbelible but armfeild has looked realy good in his few games as well as browne, but still atm it looks like jamison but dont be suprised if browne or armfeild really step up

He absolutely stitched up Medhurst last time we played the Pies, and some people are bandying that ex-Docker's name about in All-Australian discussions. It will be interesting to see what happens on Sunday, because Medhurst was always a problem for us against the Dockers.

I think Jamo Has been great for carlton this year. He kinda reminds me a little bit of premiership backmen Micheal Sexton in the way he moves and kicks the ball. He has a very cool head on him aswell which is what required by a backmen and a sign of a top player. Most of the blues youngsters are going along well atm. Its a combination of having Judd as captain and Ratts as coach. The young guys seem to be responding so much better to ratts then they did Pagan.

Well, the next few weeks will shed some perspective on this issue. With both Jamison and Thornton (our two most important defenders, in my opinion) officially listed as injured and sitting out for up to a month, we shall have a challenge on our hands.

I said Murphy will be a gun Adrian but what I am getting at is there is midfielders galore in the Afl and it is easier to replace them than key backs or forwards. If you think of past premiership teams they have all had a Solid FB or CHB. Glass, Harley, Scarlett, Barry, Fletcher, Sos,etc. Don't get me wrong I love Murf just think if he went down we could cover better. Anyway opinions are like arseholes everyone got one this was mine.

Yes every good team has a good key backman but the game is won in the middle. If you loose the clearances and the hard ball you will more often than not loose no matter how good your defence is. Thats why i feel than we must still put alot of effort into our midfield. Guys like Simmo, Hadley and Bentick will become very important along side stars like Judd, Murphy, Stevo and Kruezer.

Given his potentail I think Kruzer will be a deadset gun. As he get 25-40 games under his belt he will be not far off one of the best ruckmen in the leage. I think he will be as important as anyone.

how can you say Murphy will be "just another midfileder" he is leading the b and f right now after a Carlton best on ground performance on the week end. Hes one of the guys that you know will dominate the league not just his team. He reads the play well and has brilliant skills. Every time he kicking inside 50 it hits the target no matter who hes kicking to.

As for Jamos importance i dont think he is the most important but hes up there. Kruzer for the futuer is the most important as a dominating ruck is hugh in the modern game. Look at the way nobody can stop Cox. If the eagles had a foward line they would make finals this year simply because there midfield lead by cox is still good even without Judd or Cousins.

I also think Waite is important as he takes the no 1 option most weeks. He took Brown early last week (dont like how he was moved off simply beacuse he had goals kicked on him) and he will probably get Pav this week.

He's certainly amongst them. Even from his first games, he looked the goods. I remember his third game, where he played against Matthew Lloyd. He completely dominated Lloyd on the lead - perhaps better than I've ever seen Lloyd dominated on the lead. Lloyd still managed six goals in the game, but five of them came from within 15m of goals - including that farcical Goal of the Year - and the umpires were extremely lenient on hands-in-the-back throughout the game. We should count ourselves very lucky that Crosisca is on the coaching staff, because there's no doubt that he brought Jamison with him from North Ballarat.

As you say, the best thing about Jamison coming in and taking the best leading forward, as well as Waite taking the CHF and Bower taking the best tall forward, is that Thornton can play as the #3 defender on any type of player and rebound, a role which he can dominate.

Murphy won't be just another midfielder - he'll be one of our main assist guys. Thinking about the promise of Judd, Stevens and Murphy all delivering the ball lace-out to our forwards on the lead - and all having the capacity to blaze away from 50m if there are no options - is very enticing.

Gibbs, at the moment, may be our "just another midfielder."

I still envisage Kreuzer long term in more of a Koschitzke role, with Hampson and Cloke/Aisake/Jacobs holding down the ruck. I've always rated the ruckman as vitally important, and accordingly see Hampson as, in the long term, perhaps our most important youngster.

Browne looks like he'll be handy, Bower cannot be ignored, Russell is still at the cross-roads, I still see a future for Bentick, Grigg has a way to go but I think he'll be good, and Jackson still has promise.
