I must admit, as hard as it is to admit, i too have a real soft spot for another team.
Last year, there was a real posibility of our team folding quicker than a bad round of poker. I seriously went through some soul-searching and realised that it might be a good thing to have a back-up team. I have always had a respect for the Western Bulldogs, (or Footscray to the purists!). Their supporters are a bit ferral, but the team always has a solid go, and live up to their name by being "dogged" at the ball. My Dad went through the heart-wrenching bust-up of Fitzroy. He had been in Australia since the late sixties and had never seen his adopted team win a premiership. His support followed the Lions to Brisbane, where he has now enjoyed the privelige of three straight premierships. So, at the moment, while the Blues are playing like a bunch of girls and my alternate team crunched the Hawks in Launceston....
Go Doggies!
P.s: I'm going to Telstra Dome on Sunday, and i can't wait to see the Dogs smash the Saints. I plan on losing my voice. Woof Woof!
