CLOKE to MISS TWO. (From Carlton Newsletter)
Carlton ruckman Cameron Cloke is set to miss two matches after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured left wrist.

Cloke had a screw inserted in the wrist on Wednesday after suffering the injury against West Coast in the third quarter of last Friday night’s match at Subiaco Oval.

He sustained the injury after completing a lunging mark in the Blues’ defensive 50.

Carlton Senior Coach Brett Ratten told carltonfc.com.au that Cloke’s physical presence would be sorely missed.

“Cameron has been a solid contributor throughout our opening matches. It’s disappointing for Clokey after missing so much footy last year,” Ratten said.

“Fortunately he will only miss a couple of weeks, as we value his size and strength on the ground.”

Hampson, then, will get the obvious call-up.

We're doing extremely well for the injury list we've got. Banno, Cloke, Hadley, Harts, Hoops, T-Bird, Tex and maybe even Jacko would all be in the starting 22.

Spewin, another in form player injured. As the report says; He will be sorely missed. Im not a big fan of the Cloke family, but he has proved to be a valuable asset to the Blues.

Have to agree with you, I was absolutely spewing when we recruited a Cloke but I have had to eat my words. I reckon he has been great for us, he might not be the best player but he tries his guts out every week and that is all you can ask. I have been converted.
I can't believe how many injuries we have, the media talk about everyone else having injuries and we probably have more than anyone so the boys are doing really well. Lets hope Jarryd, Feva and Juddy are okay after the weekend.

I remember a pre-season game before 2007 - probably intraclub - and I remember what an incredibly strange feeling it was to glance across and see the Collingwood moustache of David Cloke watching the game. I'm sure it was strange for everyone involved.

At least its only 2 matches. It should give Kruzer a chance to show why they were desperate to secure his services
The positive side to all this is that there are a lot of player to come back into a winning side.
