Well done Blueboys!!
How amazing was the win against the Eagles. But we nearly blew it. It was great to see us hold on, we wouldn't have done that last year. Juddy got everything thrown at him but showed everyone what they already knew, hes a champion. Great to see the young boys playing well especially at the end. Gibbsy, Murph, Bower, Bentick, Griggs really stood up when needed. Then there were the more experienced. Great game Carraz, Scotland, Stevo, Simpson. The only bad thing to come out of this was Fev. I love him, but how many times does he have to do stupid things that will cost him and us. He will probably go for doing something stupid and unnecessary just because he was frustrated. Get over it Fev. You are better than that.

Oh and I must add... yes I agree that Fev made a silly mistake. But hello, he has been fantastic for us this year, it will be his own fault if he gets done and we will just have to win without him (which despite our injuries... we have done it before, we can and will do it again). Fev has really stepped up this year and that is the only time he has spat the dummy all year ( they all make mistakes, every now and again. Fev just gets highlighted for it more often). I'm proud of him. He will always be a player that gets frustrated... it's his personality. He just needs to learn to control it and I believe he is.
Dont talk about the 50 penalty either, it shouldn't have even been a 50.

Brillant, worst part is... I tipped the Eagles :-(.
I was ****ting myself, when the eagles got within, what 15 or 17 points after we were leading by 8 goals. So I changed the channel and thought, I'll watch man on fire for a bit then change it back. Changed it back and we had kicked a couple. Our 3rd quarter was crap, but it was good to see us fight for the win.
I love the fact that we won against a sell out crowd, I loved seeing so many carlton supporters in the crowd, I loved seeing Fev hush the crowd after booting a goal :-), but I absolutely loved how all the boys, especially the young ones (Eddie and Murphs) stuck by Juddy, they protected their captain. The boys stuck it right up them. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!
GO CARLTON!

if you ask me that it the best type of win a young team can have for a number of reasons.

1) We have got a number of injurys and still got up.
2) We jumped out of the block but still we wernt up at quarter time. This forced the boys to lift again in the second and he killed them.
3) Due to the lead coming down to as few as 9 pts it made the boys lift again to win by almost as much as we were up by at 1/2 time.
4) The boys that lifted in the last quarter werent just Judd and Stevens, it was Bower and Grigg of the half back line that lead from the front.

The reason why im almost happy that the lead was lost was that it teachs the boys that they can kill teams but that they cant become complacent and relaxed. That fact that the came back was the best part because last year we would have lost by about 5 goals.

Great win Blues!!!

good points, all.

Also, almost all of our behinds were from difficult shots - long or wide. No Lynch-esque shanks.

It's tough to be completely happy after they blew the lead. But what we're doing with the injury list we're accumulating is impressive - no doubt that neither Ellard nor Wiggins is close to the top 22. Waite had a shocker, but the rest of the backline was good - Jamo certainly beat McKinley. I was generally impressed with the play in the first half - players were always doing the right thing, but turning it over when they did, which is good: intelligence is harder to train than skills, and the skills will come with experience.

What do we do in the forward-line with Fev pretty much certain to get a 1-week suspension? Harts is injured and Edwards is in terrible form, and I think we play Brisbane, so Waite will certainly be needed down back. Hamo's fit, so he'll have to come into the ruck and allow Kreuzer to play forward.

Hell yeah, Carazzo with 42 touches is that freakin brilliant or what. All of the midfield boys were brilliant. Stevo was outstanding. However the Eages really showed how deficient we are in the ruck 44 hit outs to 10 is nowhere near good enough. Cloake and Kruz really need to com along a bit. Fev why did you have to do that. He'll be gone for 3 weeks at least. Anyway 3 of the last 4 and they won a last quater. How good is that!!!!
