Blues v Eagles. How will it go down
Living in Perth you get the Eagles crammed down your throat permanatly. I have had to get berrated every time the Eagles have played the Blues for the last 6 years. Now its our turn. Kerr's gone along. Cox, Glass and Wirra have been carrying injuries for weeks. And let's be honest the Eagles can't win a game at the moment.
Can the boys come over here and smash the Eagles and a rather hostile crowd in Judd's return game at Subi.
Given how bad Freo and Port were playing when they smashed the Eagles here and their run of extrmely poor form. It's not beyond us. We need to use our run out of the midfield and deliever the ball clean to Fev out in front of Glass. Forward pressure will be the key.
What do you think?

I live in Perth too....AND yes I have been to every game the Blues have played in Perth...

Today has to be the leveler, for the 2006
game here where we lead all game and lost it in time on in the 4th quarter....I have never got over that game...that one really hurt...remember we got the spoon and they got the flag that year and they had a hard time with us then....both teams are nothing like 2006...this is 2008...we have evolved...they have self destructed...

It would be hard to accept anything but a 6 goal win this time round...

Go Fev
Go Blues

Midfield pressure will be more important than forward pressure. Our defenders should have the measure of the weak Eagles forward-line, even without Thornton. Stoppages will be interesting - without Cousins, Judd or Kerr, the Eagles may struggle, but they still have Cox as a big advantage; I think they should be able to win out of the middle regardless, but they MUST be prepared to switch to the stoppage-pressure mode they showed against Adelaide if they Eagles start to win out of the middle - it's a better percentage play, because we should beat them around the rest of the ground.

I will be very disappointed if we lose.

I hope we win, then I will eat my words from a previous post!

But even with West Coast where they are now I think it will be a big ask for our younger guys to stand tall.
