Kerr to play for Calrton?
I was listening to SEN this morning and apparently
Kerr has put his contract with the Eagles on hold
and apparently has been in talks with a Melbourne
Club and it is believed to be Carlton. For starters
Its SEN, and most of the things they say
It’s all crap. But lets say if this was true, what
Do you think about having him at the Blues?

Kerrs a tosser. He doesnt deserve to play for a club like Carlton, even though yes granted he is a good player, but he is a drug head and we dont need that at the club. That is whyKennedy DIDNT want to go to West Coast
Brendan from Willaura (Blues supporter), 24 May 2008 21:44 hide comment
Hell keep em all... One might come good, and if one does its worth it! Pratt can just give them all "jobs" at visy and keep us well under the salary cap! If Kerr is available that would be great but we cant afford to give west coast anyone really! They would want another judd like deal, and lets face it they took us to the cleaners!

I was just curious in the comment, that eagles took us to the cleaners over the judd deal??? I strongly disagree, we got judd the most prolific player in the afl over the last 3years, and is still going to be for the next 5, we still kept the number one draft pick in Kruzer, was dissapointing to lose Kennedy, although anyones goin to trade josh for juddy, quite frankly Kennedy will come back sooner rather then later neway!!! They took our number 3 draft pick for judd, big deal!!!!
Chad (Blues supporter), 6 Jun 2008 14:52 hide comment
me myself dont think we need kerr!
Even tho we like the best player i dont think he has a place in out midfield with such followers as marc murphy, chris judd and nick stevens!
Justin from Penola (Blues supporter), 25 May 2008 23:02 hide comment
To get Kerr would be a huge mistake! We have enough center like players to do the job for years to come, to put another ready made player into our midfield would only prolong the development of Murphy, Gibbs, Bentick, Betts, Russell, Browne, Grigg and players alike.

We dont need little people we need one more big man down each end of the ground.

Kosta from Melbourne (Blues supporter), 30 Apr 2008 19:09 hide comment
yeah bloody oath!! Our Midfieldf can only get better and to get rid of Fev one of carltons assets on the field, would be a big mistake.

hmmmm who do you guys think will be droped at the end of the year?

Akland has to go, Saddington aswell, couple of rookies will be dropped as usual.
Adrian from Melbourne (Blues supporter), 7 May 2008 21:27 hide comment
Wiggins, Blackwell, Banister, Auckland and Saddington will be dropped if at the end of the year. We are a young team and none of these guys are making it into the starting 22 consistently. Loosing them wont be a loss and will make space for another group of young guys that we will draft this year. Remember we will still get a top 10 pick this year.

Don't know about Blackers mate he dominates at VFL level gets over 40 possies every time he plays. He then gets a game in the Seniors and gets plenty of it considering game time and then gets dropped. He is a small developing player who uses ball well and runs himself into the ground. we will get rid of Benjamin before Blackwell.

Im a fan of blackers but due to the fact that he always gets dropped youd have to think that the coaches dont like him thats why i think he'll get dropped. If he comes back from is injury soon and plays well i hope he will get a contract cos im a fan of him.
Tarrant from Melbourne (Blues supporter), 9 May 2008 21:46 hide comment
I'm not sure when his contract expires, but at the start of last year, I'd expected Bannister to be delisted at season's end - he was only selected against the Bulldogs because we needed someone to play on Johnson, and had he not dominated, he'd have been back at the Ants in round 11 to play out his career. But, he crushed Johnson, then did likewise to Chad Cornes the next week against Port. It all depends on where Ratten's thoughts are - under Pagan, I think he was definitely gone.

Wiggins, Ackland and Saddo will all be gone. Blackwell can't survive on the list with Hadley and Bench ahead of him, so if he doesn't do something special this year, he's gone also.

i have a couple of friends who play for carlton and they seem to think that carlton sees a future with ackland so i dont think he will go although i dont think hes up to it. wiggins and banister have played a number of games this year. i would like someone like clinton benjamin would go and maybe a mark austin type. these blokes have had there couple of seasons and cant get a game. i would have banister and wiggins over these two any day.
Chris from Melbourne (Blues supporter), 8 May 2008 19:37 hide comment
I don't think the Blues will drop to many players at the end of the season, but I think theres no more room for Saddington who is too slow now or Ackland but I think he still has 1 more year on his contract so that will be interesting to see what they do with him. The problem over the last 5 years is that too many players have been delisted at once and not given enough of a chance. Bannister and Wiggins still have a go which is great and they still have something to give. Keep your eye on a rookie list player Aaron Joseph. Hes super quick and has a solid build and could be a future star in waiting. He was the quickest of any player in the entire draft last year.
Adrian from Frankston (Blues supporter), 24 May 2008 11:34 hide comment
Do we need another midfielder? is all you have to ask. What we need is another marking tall either for the forward line or backline. If Hansen is available then Id take notice. But what would we have to give up to get him. Will it be worth the punt when we are developing players for long term sucess. But he's still only 23-24 years old and he's got that mongrel about him that I like.
Greg from Perth (Blues supporter), 27 Apr 2008 0:28 hide comment
Personally, I dont think we need to spend more money on the centre, we could do with some thought to our defense....we have a great bunch of guys in the centre that just need some more games under their belt....and now can learn the game from Judd....I dont like Bryce kicking out...he's made a couple mistakes recently that have cost us momentum and goals...we need another SOS...how old are his boys now?? lol

give the kid a break greg..Hes only 19? and still yet to mature.. If you remember he has made mistakes but has also been a big contributor after early errors.. EG against COLLINGWOOD.... KIDS learns from mistakes... WE are a long way off top 4 so why not get more experience this year and start pushing harder from there on in... REMEMBER its been a long 5 years I reckon we can handle another season IF IT MEANS A PREMIERSHIP in the next 3-4-5 years mate... GO BLUES!!!!!
Bradley from Bendigo (Blues supporter), 17 May 2008 2:44 hide comment
Guys STOP being impatient..I know its been a hard few years but our backline is coming along jus fine.. back pocket - (BOWER ) full back - (JAMIESON ) back pocket -(THORNTON ) half back flank - (WALKER ) centre - half back (WAITE) for now maybe (Kruezer) down the track rotating in the ruck and (WAITE) to centre half forward... half back (Carazzo , Bannister, scotland, gibbs, houlihan) for now and let it build.. WE COULD also pick up 1-2 more backline defenders in draft... ITS ALL GOOD>>>GIVE THEM TIME... BIG BODIES MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE...GO BLUEBOYS GO
Jacob from Melbourne (Blues supporter), 7 May 2008 21:03 hide comment
judd wouldnt want to be playing with kerr again and there is no way that carlton can afford to spend that sorta cash on a midfielder when we are stuggling in other postions on the ground. there is a whisper that andrew embly wants to play with judd as they are best mates but couldnt do a deal last year because he had a year left on his contract.

if i were the management at carlton i would be lookin at tradin a 2nd round draft pick and a player like carrazo or jordan russel for a big strong full back or centre half back. would make life alot easier for the team if we could stop goals being kicked!!!

I defenatly agree with trading a second round pick and russel for a bug man at either end of the ground. Probably need a foward next to fev cos our backs look good this year in Waite, Bower and Jamo.

if we get an experienced backman it can give us the luxury of sending waite forward which is where he is best suited. he is a great CHB but an even better propect forward.

i think he drifts out of the game as a forward, but he can be a damaging rebounder.
Scott from Sydney (Blues supporter), 9 May 2008 10:44 hide comment
I would prefer someone such as Goddard rather than Kerr. Goddard has had no such past problems like Kerr, he is a former number 1 pick, he and his family are/were huge carlton fans and fills a far more pressing need with our defence.

Obviously saying this it would take a bit to pry him from Saints but if we talking Kerr than it probably just as hard if not slightly easier.

I think he could definitely help to release Waite up into the CHF position without compromising back half. Very important.

With Kerr I just feel as previously said Judd left West Coast to escape their toxic culture (which Kerr was a big part of) and our midfield is already our best asset so we should address more of our shortcomings.

As for Ackland ditch him, Saddington yes definitely, I think Austin (i reckon half reason we got him was to make Gibbs comfortable as they played together but Gibbs is set now), I dunno perhaps Wiggins or Bannister but I wouldnt have both, I personally like Blackwell but we'll see with him. I reckon this about it cause we dont wanna lose to many players.

Chris from Melbourne (Blues supporter), 8 May 2008 19:44 hide comment
We'll have Kerr, but the catch is the blues would have to give back just as good a deal. Heres a suggestion, Jordan Russell and a draft pick for Kerr. Sorry Jordan but that sounds like a great swap.
Justin from Adelaide (Blues supporter), 6 May 2008 14:34 hide comment
Bring it on, im sure the blues supporters would agree that we would be more than happy to take any quality player, from any club, to strengthen our line up, especially Kerr. Tough defending and extra hard at the ball, not to mention an ex team mate of Juddy. Just have to keep him away from Lygon st and party boy Fev on the weekends. If it came down to it, id have Benny Cuz come with him!!!!
GO THE BLUES

kerr has stated he will would like to spend the rest of his playing days at west coast. plus he is a nutta and one of the reasopns judd wanted a fresh start. i think with murphy, stevens, gibbs, carrazzo, juddand simpson to use in the midfeild we need to start strengthening and focusing on other parts of our game. like the one man forward line???? or the backline that is starting to look like a backline. we already have a midfield.

Triple M has stated the same today, that Kerr's management confirmed that he is looking towards Victoria at the end of the year, furthermore his management stated that it was too early to announce anything but that there was a pipeline open to a victorian club.

West Coast have stated that in the evolution of a Kerr deal being done with any Melbourne club, that that club would have to place some large incentives on the table, say someone like Fevola!

Aaron from Perth (Blues supporter), 29 Apr 2008 10:58 hide comment
The West Asutralian reported on Sunday that Kerr is looking to secure a long term deal with the Eagles. In a related report they reported on Eagles looking to make a deal to secure Fev
