What was bitter about it? It all seemed sweet to me.
Our midfield pressure was fantastic - that was the reason why we won. I've said it before that our backline is underrated, and they proved it by destroying Collingwood's forwardline. But the midfield pressure prevented the easy kicks.
Perhaps the bitter was that we should have won by a lot more. Four of Collingwood's six first-half goals were from turnovers, leaving only two "earned goals," and there were a couple of junktime goals at the end. Long story short: we completely smashed them.
Cloke was fantastic. He rucked well, and gave a lot of knock-ons in a very intelligent way. Very very happy with Cloke.
Fev did very well, considering that Harry O'Brien did not have a bad game, in my opinion. You can basically hand Fev the Army Award nomination for the assist on the Grigg goal - certainly the current favourite for the non-existent Assist of the Year award.
It was so gratifying to watch Medhurst get slaughtered by Jamison, and Rocca get slaughtered by Waite.
