Where can I watch AFL abroad?
Howdy fellow Brisbane Lions supporters!

I was just wondering if anyone knows where I can watch AFL matches abroad. I'm currently studying in England and unfortunately will be away for half of the season.

Now, being a devoted Brisbane Lions fan, I cannot afford to miss that much football and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can watch it, either online or if there's a tv channel that I can get in pubs?

If anyone knows anything it'll be greatly appreciated! GO THE MIGHTY BRISBANE LIONS!

Ok, So I'm in a very backwards out of the way corner of Japan. I missed all of the games last year until some kind person uploaded all of them as a torrent. Anyone know where i can get them online as they occur kinda thing? I miss my AFL >_<

You should try and figure out how to watch AFL in censor-capital China! It's friggin' impossible, all I get is whatever posted on YouTube.

Of course the AFL's spectacularly bad (and slow) site has that backward Big Pond thing that I can't seem to get to work... I guess you have to be a signed up Telstra account holder?

And if you're still over there at grand final time, can't beat the walkabout @ 5.30am with a VB and meat pie to watch the game live!!!

Most Walkabout bars show full replays of all the games during the week. Grab TNT magazine and it will tell you the times - also good calling them to confirm the time as sometimes times can change.

There are a couple of other Aus bars in Hammersmith that also show replays. I tend to go to the Shepherds Bush Walkabout to catch the Lions games. There is also the pay-tv channel Setanta that you can get for about 15 pounds a months which i think will show about 4 live games a week (not bad - question is: how often will they show the mighty lions?).

Other way of live broadcasting is internet radio. All games are broadcast live via the AFL website and they get their feeds from which ever radio station broadcasts.

Hope this helps - it can be tough here in the UK during the footy season - real bloody tough!
