The Shermanator
It seems that everyone thinks pretty highly of this guy. Why is that?

In that first season of his, I was a bit of a fan, not just for the catchy name, but also for the speed he showed. But as the season went on it became clear that his skills were a bit patchy.

Last season, it was even more noticeable - his delivery is terrible!! If you want to see a ball turned over then give it to him. He'll provide a bit of excitement with a bit of run, but then he goes to kick it, or pass it... and time after time it goes to the opposition.

Am I the only one who sees this?

Some fans were complaining for him seeing very little game time, while I was rejoicing, because it meant a cleaner use of the ball allround...

But, of course, being a big Lions fan, I'm just hoping that he's still developing and there's improvement to come...

I think his issue was he came in as an exciting player, all this hype was built up around him. when to be honest he was just getting started like every other rookie on the side. As soon as he starts playing poorly everyone came down on him like a tonne of bricks. He'll get there.

Look at Jed Adcock toughted as one of the next leadership players, to be honest I think he has dropped off a bit too. In fact taking out all of the players that went through the triple premiership all of our young guys are having ups and downs.

I reckon by the end of next year if lions haven't got the consistency right then it's time for some drastic changes. their kicking skills are terrible and they are losing to some teams they should beat *cough*Melbourne, Richmond*cough*

this may sound harsh but the shermanator is crap and we do need to get rid of him...he makes too many mistakes and has had plenty of chances to prove himself but hasnt. sorry shermy!

Pretty sure he's getting back to his best.

I don't think teams are going to be bothered tagging the Shermanator when there's about 6-7 midfielders alone much better than him. You don't need to tag someone who turns the ball over anyway, he's the opposition's 19th player!

I'm harsh, I know!!!

Confidence is down, showing signs of improvement.

After his performance last night, I'm fairly sure we'd be fine without him. Trade him in for something that's actually useful...a big bodied backman perhaps
