The most pleasing part about the win was our disposal and ball movement. After watching our horrendous skills last year it was pleasing to watch some crisp fluid passing for a change.
Even players like Knights and Thompson, notorious for their clangers, seemed to have improved their skills tremendously (at least in this game).
Porplyzia was terrific. If he can keep that up he'll be an excellent cog in our midfield for 2008. Symes had a few wayward kicks but was great in getting in and under the packs for his disposals.
Sellar looked far from the bust he was made out to be last year. Presented well, took marks and kicked three goals. Look forward to seeing more of him this year.
Pleasing to see that Maric, Moran and Tippett looked comfortable as rucks as well as playing in key positions out on the ground.
Bock was close to BOG at CHB and Vince and Douglas look to be gaining some confidence playing at this level.
The only downer for me was Jacky who seemed a bit lost out there and Campbell who struggled at times to adjust to the pace of the game.
Overall an excellent match from the club, taking into consideration that it is just a pre-season game and Collingwood were far from their best.
