While I wasn't really expecting too much from Rhett this season, I still felt, as a senior player with a more mature body, that he would at least help the younger rucks in Griffin and Maric to absorb some of the physical punishment they would be subjected to in the AFL.
Now that he's gone, Jonathon and Ivan will have no choice but to be thrown to the wolves on a full time basis.
It will be interesting to see whether Tippett will play there and, if so, how he performs. The Advertiser today gave him some big raps, but it could be no more than just a typical fluff piece.
