Wheres Mcgregor's future?
Ken Mcgregor seems out of favour. Mcgregor has been a good player but it seems that the game has gone past him. In the modern game you have to be quick and agile and put in the second efforts as a tall. Kenny was not doing this! The forward line with tippett, jericho and gill have all jumped in front of him in the pecking order up forward. Sellar also seem to have jumped over him. Dont forgety hentshel if he gets back to where he was before the injury. Mcgregor was able to play down back in the past but he would be simply carved up with his lack of speed, agility and kicking. A player like franklin would carve him up. He could play as ruckman but he is simply to small to played in that position. I heard mcgregor is used as a safety net for the club if a tall gets injured.

The future looks bright with the young forwards like hentshel, jericho, tippett, sellar, walker and another tall kite. In my opinion i think the club has made the right choice of playing the young talls instead of mcgregor as it would be more beneficial in the long term.

So where is ken Mcgregors future? will he be in crows colours in 2009? Discuss it all!

Right on the money Dave.
Although McGregor has had glimpses of good footy, its just not good enough. But not only does he not fit the AFL let alone the Crows, his decision making on the ground is very poor. Countless number of times in the past have I seen McGregor get the ball and have no clue what to do with it.

He's just not cut out for AFL which I believe he never was and never will be. About time the coaching staff are closer to noticing that.

For me, wen i ever think about kenny, i always think about how it should hav been pavlich.

IM SURE THE CROWS KEPT HIM THINKING THAT TIPPETT & GRIFFIN WEREN'T GOING TO HAVE A IMPACT LIKE THEY HAVE.MCGREGOR HAS ALSO PLAYED WELL IN THE BACK LINES BUT CAN NOT PROVIDE THE RUN LIKE BOCK,BASSETT & STEVENS CAN.HOW THINGS CHANGE I WAS SO GLAD THE CROWS KEPT HIM BECAUSE HE PROVIDES A CONTEST BUT NOW IM HAVING TROUBLE FITTING HIM IN TO MY SIDE.

I think what you have said is spot on Dave. He is too slow for the modern game unfortunately. There are too may young players such as Tipper, Gilly, Sellar. And we are still waiting on Hentchel to return aswell. We probably should have traded him last year when we had the chance. But who knows the dorkers will probably want him next year and give us a first round draft pick for him..lol.
I cant see us giving him a game for the rest of the season or next season. Does anyone know when his contract runs out? Did he sign a 2 year deal at the end of last year? I'm pretty sure the bulldogs wanted him aswell as welshy and huddo. Gee what a loss those 2 were...NOT !.
Sorry Kenny but its time to go
