Has the AFL Grand Final gone to corporate?
Its become harder for true fans to get tickets because of these big corporate hot shots over booking tickets (more often then not, there are spare seats that aren’t filled up that they book) and just going for the sake of it when realistically there are tens of thousands of fans missing out.

I know that money is important for the game, but sometimes the AFL has just got to think about other things other than making money because it’s the fans throughout the ENTIRE season funding them.

Tell me what you think?

Slightly of the subject, i was at the G earlier on this year for the Anzac Day clash and it was disappointing to see the cricket members area bare as.

I got my ticket! But your right, you shouldnt be allowed into the G on Grand Final day unless your wearing a competing teams colours.

Dont have enough money for all that lol.

There are over 6 billion people in the World and im one of 1200 who are Geelong September members lol. Basically im guarenteed a ticket if the Cats make it. I was lucky to get in when I did.

So how are things in Bairnsdale? Havent been down that way for a while, my Grandmother lives in Paynesville, its a nice spot down there.

Thats awesome!
Wish I'd done that, but I get my country membership as a christmas present every year from my grandparents and they buy all my little cousins junior memberships.

Yeah things in Bairnsdale are good.
Apart from enduring flood, fire and drought all in the past 2 years.
Woah it's a small world isn't it?

Your right, great spot here but unfortunetly many scum bags are starting to see the same way =(

Are you a Melbournian??

Nah Im up near Byron Bay, but im a big Cats fan cause my old Man is from Melbourne and a Cats fan.

You have had a tough time down at Bairnsdale over the past 2 years. Hopefully you got all the natural disasters out of the way. lol

I used to have a country membership but after a good 2004 season I made the move to full membership with the September package.

How do you think the Cats will go this weekend?

Byron Bay, thats a great place, I've taken quite a few long trips up there.

Yeah well hopfully it is the last of all the natural disasters...touchwood!

Well for this weekend I'm quietly confident, how about you?
I'm saving my worries for a possible Cats vs Hawks grannie

Yeah I think the Cats will get 10 in the All Australian tonight, I think they will beat the Dogs by a big margin (but anything can happen), Ablett and Bartell to tie for the Brownlow.

But on Grand Final day it will be a big job to get over the Hawks. But then I wasnt confident we would beat Port last year and look what happened. lol

i think all 10 deserve to get in but somehow doubt it.

All-Australian: 7 or 8
Brownlow: Bartel
Grandfinal: Cats vs Hawks

Yeah too many wankers who are MCC/AFL members who can't commit to a team and instead steal the seats off the true supporters. 100% prioritize seats for ALL members of the competing clubs and then sell the rest to other members of the public instead of selling separate tickets for the corporates and snobs. Let them get into the race for a ticket rather than the ones who deserve to have one.

so many guys go to the game as part of business contract or sponsorship and they don't support either team and might not even be into the game we love!

Very true. Majority of corporate probably don't barrack for either side. Just wrong. Imagine the atmosphere when the crowd was 70% true supporters.

yeah it would go OFF!!

thats half the reason why if Geelong are in the grandfinal I'm going to Geelong for the weekend and watching it at Skilled Stadium on the big screen. Heaps better atmosphere!!
