How could ANY side consider picking up Pagan even as an assistant???
He may have been a good coach once, but he just couldn't get through to the players at Carlton for the last few years before he got the arse, and all of a sudden their side's climbed the ladder!!

And a heap of the Carlton players who played under him in the past few years and retired have mentioned in the papers that the players lost respect for him, and his attitudes towards his players was not healthy in quite a few instances..

West Coast seeing as though they've lost Voss for the assistant coaching role in 09

Crows should pick him up..at least he knows how to coach a premeirship side, which is more than I can say for Neil Craig, who rarely wins a finals game!

Another Adelaide idiot that has no idea of how good their coach is. Adelaide are one of the best drilled teams in the comp. Their injuries this year cost them not only a top 4 spot, but also the Elimination Final, and that's coming from a Collingwood supporter!! Brett Burton, Trent Henschell, Rhett Biglands just to name a few are key players in the side. You should consider lucky to follow a team that makes the finals most years. You could follow Richmond or Carlton who don't know what finals are!!

And I'm sick of hearing that we are are 'well drilled' side..fat lot of good that did us last week!..
Maybe 3 years ago you could say that ..but have you seen our poor execution skills lately...well drilled sides don't stuff up time after time..!
As for Carlton..I think they will be up there next year.

And towards the other coaches. Remember that in Pagan's final half-season, Bullants coach Barry Mitchell's office was on the other side of Optus Oval, and he was kept largely out of proceedings. He moved back to the normal offices almost immediately when Pagan was sacked.

Of course, the Barry Mitchell Saga...

Despite his good record on the field with the Kangaroos which was what, almost 10 years ago now (you gotta admit he lead Carlton to as much success as Mark Latham lead the Labour party to). He definately seem to have a knack of getting a lot of people in the club off-side..

Obviously someone that took a team to 2/3 premierships must be doing something right to be considered.... Also Carlton have picked up Judd in which he is a premiership captain. The new draft picks now have more games under their belts so that's why Carlton have improved.
