Poor bastard. I hope geelong signs him up, at least they can with the depth they have. A bloody good player, I was actually hoping they would trade him to the Kangas at the end of the year, but no one will take him with a full reconstruction lying ahead.

saints would.
we have a knack of picking up injured players...
we just never get them back to the way they were

I know this is really selfish, but I am quite glad he's injured. He's one of my favourite players and if he wasn't injured he would surely have been traded off to another team. I read the newspaper a few days ago and I am pretty sure that Geelong will keep him if no other teams want him.

Yeah but somehow i think people will see through his injury and see him for his talent and a developing club will invest in him.

If you were someone like eg. fremantle would you pass up the offer for a potential super-star in years to come?

Adrian from Melbourne (Blues supporter), 9 Sep 2008 21:26hide comment
i feel sorry for him. There was a chance that he was going to be traded to a team without the depth of geelong and become one of the teams best midfieldrs. No team will take the risk and wait for a full year and if he stays at geelong he might loose his spot which he was only holding very loosly.

I hope Geelong maybe go down the same path that Sydney did with Malceski, it would be devastating for him to miss all of 2009.

I feel sorry for the kid, every time he has looked like cementing himself a spot he gets injured (kind of like Rusling), sh!t thing is it's a different thing every time.

Geelong will now hold onto him, but this injury maybe the worst thing for his career, he was definite trade bait at the end of the year, could have been possible premiership player, then gone to another club to be a midfield gun, he is too damn good to be in and out of the seniors at AFL level.

Good luck Prissa.

To come into one of the best sides ever and look the goods is just sh'it. Poor kid, hope Costa sticks by his words and ensures the club doesn't trade or delist him.

If he didn't get injured then there would have been plenty of clubs interested come trade time.

In the Herald Sun today Frank Costa (GFC pres.) said he would like him to be around the club next year and sounded quite confident too.

But my theory is that a developing club (young and unexperienced players) will invest in him reguardless of his injury and likely 12 month recovery.

The problem with this is that he is out of contract at the end of the year and now has just broken inot the number one team in the comp would be devestating to him. The question now is will he move on to a new club or will geelong retain him

one word....

HEARTBREAKING

only just become a permanant feature of the side this year & following him throughout his 4 year career its devestating to see a player go out like this.

Him & big Blakey deserve a premiership medal more then anything
