Buddy Franklin Superstar or Dud have your say
Both Buddy and Fevola receive a fair bit of the ball, and both could do with a bit of target practice, this doesn't really detract from what they have (or nearly have in Fev's case) done. Both are excellent players, and bring a lot to their respective clubs.

toby mate, , lets do the math... fev 27 years of age, was just short of the ton.... buddy at 21 years of age has achieved the ton and will most likely finish the complete season on around 115-120 depending how many games he plays. buddy runs hunts tackles for the ball, fev sits on his ass hoping for the pass. buddy starts getting attention at clubs he stops going out, fev gets in trouble at clubs he walks around fed square with his cock out, without a doubt buddy is a star

People that sit on thier computer just waiting to pounce on people that say somthing they dont like r nuffys. ALL i wanted to know is wat people think do u like him or do u hate him. not if u like me or hate me!!!!!

150 goals in a season is unheard of but if anyone will ever do it it will be this bloke! how can you call him a dud there is not a team in the league that wouldnt take him if they had the chance and simply the fact that he had more than 150 shots on goal this year proves that. Dont forget this kid is just 21 years old. Look out Plugga here comes Buddy
James from Melbourne (Hawks supporter), 2 Sep 2008 20:43hide comment

show me a footy player, or even an average bloke on the street that isn't arrogant. including me and you
Simon from Churchill (Hawks supporter), 1 Sep 2008 22:12hide comment
Whats wrong with being a little arrogant ? at least he is the type of guy that can back it up .. Not that many players can do that

Maybe buddy and Ablett are the only 2 that have a little bit of arrogants in their game and can back it up

Andrew (Hawks supporter), 2 Sep 2008 19:49hide comment
wow Toby, I didn't think anyone could top the stupidity of Robbie when he posted his "theyre is only one the greatest club" topic but you've far surpased him!
let me see if i understand you correctly....
two people in the history of the game have kicked 150 goals (and both took the season and the finals to do it) no one has ever kicked more than that. so everyone who hasn't is a dud....
that list includes:
-Matthew Lloyd
-Brendon Fevola
-Gary Ablett Senior
-Jason Dunstall (3rd all time leading goal kicker in the AFL)
-Tony Lockett (sorry Tony you've got over 1300 goals to your name and you're the leading all time goal kicker in the AFL but you're a dud because you didn't crack 150 in a single year).

Toby you are a **** and that's being nice about it.
a 21 year old kicked over 100 goals in the home and away season, in his fourth season ever, while someone else in the same forward line kicked over 60 (showing he's not the only target), he becomes the first person in ten years to do it and you call him a dude.
how old are you? 9? if you are i feel bad for rubbishing a child.
BUDDY IS A SUPER STAR

I think Buddy is the superstar and Toby is the dud for even putting this post on the forum. 20 year old kicking 100+ goals can only get better, like he isn't that good now!!!
Bethany from Melbourne (Saints supporter), 1 Sep 2008 22:16hide comment
Defiantly not a dud.
Mal from Melbourne (Blues supporter), 1 Sep 2008 21:39hide comment
Never seen a dud kick a 100 before
Rebecca from Melbourne (Magpies supporter), 1 Sep 2008 21:36hide comment
This is one stupid topic... Do we all forget buddy is still only 21yrs old, this man will be the next best thing, what a champion... One day he just may as well kick 150 goals, but to ask if he is a dud is very laughable...
Jodie from Melbourne (Cats supporter), 1 Sep 2008 9:33hide comment
Is a fair call in some ways, if they are going to compare him to the all-time greats, Ablett, Carey etc. he should perform like them. But in another way he is still only 21, he's got a lot of time to learn, so I won't say he's a dud, but maybe a tad over-rated.
Maybe when Lloyd retires, the Hawks might offer him some cash to be a kicking coach, 62.16 this year, that's f'ucking phenomenal, 79% conversion. Buddy 102.84 = 54% conversion.
Adam from Corowa (Tigers supporter), 1 Sep 2008 7:24hide comment
If his kicking improved he would kick 200 goals a year. Definate champion of the game...
Rebecca from Melbourne (Magpies supporter), 31 Aug 2008 21:56hide comment
Hey toby thats like saying your team came close too winning today... Get your tongue out of the blues asse, seriously mate the blues hate the bombers... you aint earning any brownie points in here...

Buddy has proved he is the best and he is 21 with so many years ahead of him..

Adrian from Melbourne (Blues supporter), 31 Aug 2008 20:42hide comment
ovcourse hes a superstar. He kicked 100 goals in a home and away season something Lloyd never did.
