Who here hates interstate teams?
All comments welcome - whether you are from a Doggies, Carlton or Dees background no matter. Band together and stick it to those sorry excuses for interstate teams!

I hate all interstate teams. Honestly I would prefer to have more scum and more filth rather than those stupid artificial non-Vic teams.

Tim,

I could say something about Carlton and their supporters with such a stupid remark however I have learnt that in these forums there are some educated Blues that love their club but love footy even more. Mal, Tarrant and Steve you know who you are.

So Tim I have one thing to say:

You are what my body does when I need to pass wind. You are a fart, a wet smelly one at that.

Well Guy,

Typical magpie you are. Do nothing but fart.

I must have upset your stomach. You are not even worth a fart mate. I would not even waste any wind doing it into your face mate. It will be a disgrace to my arse.

Your Carlton mate, your arse is an improvement when it comes to your face.

I guess it is so easy for you to make some sort of assumption owing to the possibility that you might be gay.

Lauren - If you don't like my opinion, don't depend on dickheads like Guy to oppose it. Instead try to make a remark yourself.

This is the end of a totally worthless low quality discussion that has wasted precious seconds of my life.

Yes I guess the non-Vics are even worthless than the scum and the filth.

have to laugh mate..as most of these interstate teams are actually carrying lots of Vic players..Crows would have to have at least 12 Vics in their squad.

Okay. So you are saying that interstate teams are nothing without Vic players))

No the truth is that I would have preferred to have the SAFL, WAFL and VFL being dominant in there own states and equally being considered as the power leagues of Aussie Rules just like 20 years ago.

I am a bit of a traditionalist and have nothing against interstate team supporters and I am not telling them to piss off. I just wish it would be like in the old days when the state of origin games meant a lot and there was a lot of biff and brawl and packs in all of these leagues.

I followed the SAFL just as much as I had followed the VFL and the VFA with the same enthusiasm and was a Glenelg fan as much as I was a Carlton and Preston Bullants fan.

I'm all for having a national comp. What I hate is that Sydney and Brisbane whinging about how tough their markets are and that they can't afford to bottom out as no one will support them. Matthews comments today in the Herald Sun were a joke.
Melissa from Adelaide (Crows supporter), 29 Aug 2008 19:19hide comment
i find this all quite amusing... for starters doesnt matter where the teams are based they are all essentially national teams coz they have players from all states... secondly its this kind of rivalry which makes the game so exciting if u vics didnt hate us and vice versa it wudnt b so much fun beating u...
Guy (Magpies supporter), 29 Aug 2008 19:04hide comment
We have a great comp, greater than ever before and Nuff Nuff's want to have a go, bi'tch and moan.

For fu'cks sake enjoy the game, delight in beating interstate teams on their home turf just as they love doing to us.

John,
Why are you sooo against the interstate sides??
Is it because Adelaide kicked ya arse in 97/98?
Is it because every interstate club bar Freo has won more premierships than your club??
Maybe its because in 20 years time the interstate clubs will still be around and the Bulldogs will be an interstate club themselves?

Seriously if wasn't for the interstate clubs the Bulldogs wouldn't be around. So don't bite the hand that feeds you.

As for all the other Nuff Nuff's, if you don't like interstate teams to the point some have mentioned, piss off and support your state teams.

This comp is awesome and has never been healthier.

Dave from Adelaide (Crows supporter), 29 Aug 2008 18:35hide comment
yes i do even though i suport one. i love vic clubs as they have so much history and passion. I love afl and watch vic teams all the time play other vic clubs and can't get enough. The MCG is the best ground i have ever been to and it gave me goose bumps as i was in awe of the place having seen a game there as well as guided tours before new stands were fully constructed in 2004.

My fav vic clubs is Melbourne, Geelong and to a lesser extent carlton.
I admire the dons with all there indigenous players they have and support.

That's all good and well to say you hate us, but the simple fact is, you need us!! If it werent for the Eagles & Brisbane getting licenses in 1987 then at least 2 or 3 Vic clubs (incl. Bulldogs, Hawks & Dees) would no longer be in exsistence. Then of course, once they saw how much money it put into the AFL bank accounts they thought, ripper, lets get some more in. No, I think that's a rather ridiculous comment, hate us all u like, if it werent for us, u wouldnt have a competition this great, cause there would b no clubs!!

I'm gloating?? About what?? And by the way, I do still watch the WAFL, and ur right, its a rort as Subiaco, East Freo run a monopoly on the comp, but still great to watch some home grown talent, go the mighty FALCONS!!

yes, and now the brisbane mob are yelling in despair now that the gold coast may take away some of the supporters. We'll see how they will fair when that time comes... as for your perth teams - 13th, 15th, drug addicts, jeff farmer the wife basher... says alot doesnt it? i could go on forever.

Yeah, so, whats ur point?? We've had a rough year, that doesnt cancel out all the good stuff that has happened before this anus horibilis does it?? The point of the matter is, u only hate the interstate clubs cause they have taken away premierships your team were supposed to win.......And finally, dont mention Jeff Farmer to me, I DO not support that team and u know what?? Every team has bad eggs, and whilst I'm not gonna sit here and defend them, I will use a very well used saying, "take a look in ur own backyard"............

Eeerr... sorry, you're wrong. I don't like interstate clubs because they were not even good enough to start an AFL competition from their own leagues, instead they created new clubs altogether rather than make existing clubs in your state stronger. I don't hate them because of their premierships - they are going to win one sooner or later. And that's precisely my point - the doggies have been around since 1883 so don't tell me who is strong and who isn't. We have had our rough times but we never sell ourselves out and have never had player-behaviour scandals at our club to the magnitude that the likes of Cousins and Farmer. And I mentioned Jeff Farmer because HE PLAYS FOR AN INTERSTATE CLUB... get it?

Eeeerrrr dont say that all interstate teams are made up, Im sure our tradition is a whole lot greater than yours.
Leanne from Perth (Eagles supporter), 28 Aug 2008 17:37hide comment
Unlike some ppl on these forums, I have never argued that the WAFL is exactly like the VFL, its no where near it, hence the reason why there would be no point entering a team like Subiaco (have u ever heard of them??), into the national competition (although, they might have a stronger team than the Eagles at the moment, bahahaha). Thats the reason why we had to build a team to enter, and I'm so over ppl bringing that up as an argument, the fact remains, the AFL needed money, we gave it to them in the form of licences, bottom line, cry about it all u want.

We have pride in our side - unlike yours:
1. Wannabe Collingwood
2. A jumper that looks like a gatorade sports drink
3. Colours and shapes on your jumper that look like skid marks on a road
4. Geelong pissed on you last year
5. Third-last on the ladder (where you should be)
6. AFL STARTED AS A NATIONAL OFFSHOOT OF THE VFL
7. We thumped your asses this year
8. Again, gatorade sports drink

We dont want to be anything but port adelaide, did you only go to 8 because thats all you can count to? What a pitty we didnt play you in the last 7 rounds, would of had a win for sure. So good luck making up the numbers in the finals. If the cats "pissed" on us last year they will take a big fat dump on you this year. Piss off wanker.

Yes that's right, resort to the vulgarity of name-calling and insults. "Can you count to eight" he says.. Mate, that's some really good comeback. What are you, ****n five years old? I've got heaps more reasons why - eight is only the beginning. And you think you would have beaten us? We smashed you up in Darwin so piss off. That's OK, the rest of the league including the dogs (THAT'S RIGHT, THE DOGS) splattered diarrhea all over your sorry-arse team this year and that's why you're happily camping on the arse-end of the ladder. Thanks for holding it up too wanker!

Your the one who started the name calling champ, and im not 5 im 6. You obviously put alot of work into your emalis and you seem to care so much about my team so thanks. I was responding to a comment that another doggies supporter posted but if you want to but in thats up to you. So well done on beating us this year cause your record against us is so good, so enjoy while you can. So our sorry asses can hold up the ladder this year, and im sure your club will have there hand out at the end of the year waiting for the other clubs to keep you afloat. I hate the crows but I hope they smash your sorry asses.

no, we'll last longer than u. we can actually beat most of the teams in the top 8. however, i feel you will be the ones to go out in strait sets. we smashed you at the SCG, Manuka... we survived longer than you without having to move to another city... i have massive respect for south melb, but sydney... ppffffttt... see you when western sydney come in the league and snatch heaps of your supporters. then let's see how u will survive in your rugby-ruled city.

Since all of our teams came along, have the Dogs actually won a premiership...? I guess that's why you hate us so much! Don't worry, I don't see it changing anytime soon!
