Give Quinten Lynch credit where it's due
Trust a comment like that from a dockers supporter. Where did you guys finish on the ladder? oh yeh.. not so good huh? thanks to Lynchy we have a big man who is tough to oppose, kicks quite a few goals and is improving immensely. Even if I didnt support the eagles credit should be given where it is due and the big man deserves it.

im sorry i cant see where you are coming from.... Lynch wont be in the eagles best 22 once kennedy and jones come back from injury. He can kick it a fair way but accuracy is a concern abd he is just a goof

He is a dangerous forward but i wouldnt pull him in the category of gun forwards of the comp. He has a massive kick on him and great hands but he isnt the complete forward. I think he had a great year last year. Hopefully for the Eagles fans he can reproduce this for season 2008.

on another note: anyone can seem like a gun forward when they have repetetive and precise delivery into the forward lime time after time.

a good centre line will make an average forward look great.

Really? Credit where credit is due, hey?
So considering that you don't support the Dockers, do you give credit to Jeff Farmer? He's also "tough to oppose and kicks quite a few goals".

I'm happy to admit that Quinten Lynch in is the best form of his career... doesn't mean I like the guy though.

Personally, I think the glove throwing gimmick is ridiculous, but then again you probably feel the same way about Farmer's hallelujah celebrations. Am I right?

There's no harm in me thinking Lynchy is a tool. Don't take it so personally... I won't when you no doubt come back with a few comments about Farmer :-)

Yes, I do give Jeff Farmer credit. I personally think Pavlich does really well too, they're good players and its a shame in a sense that the dockers don't do better than they are doing. They are much better than half the teams on the ladder but things just havent been working for them. Hopefully the new coach will do them good and they can have a go at another finals series. Or at least stop the melbourne teams from winning it

Just because you dont like him doesnt mean hes not a good player. I hate Ben Cousins off field, hes a horrible example and needs to get his act together. But I cant deny hes a very good player and was a great captain of the eagles.

The gimmick I doubt was created by Lynch, he probably does it so he can aim better. And good for him. The hopeless plebs who have nothing better to do than idolise such a simple act make footy a freakshow.. but very entertaining to watch on TV haha.

I dont take it personally, you can think what you like. But if he's a damn good tool

I definitely agree with you about Cousins.

The Eagles should probably have cut him loose a few years ago... it's tough call though because I guess then you may never have won the premiership? Hard to say really.

You know who I really rate at your club? Le Cras and Hunter. As much as I hate the Eagles, I have to admit I rate those two very highly!

Unfortunately, being big and strong does not a succesful forward make.

Ability to turn - the guy has the turning circle of a reef-stricken oil tanker, much akin to glen jackivich post knee blow outs, brendan fewster from early dockers (also knee dramas), and tony locket at the end of his career.

Marking ability - the guy has a rubber chest. sure he grabs a couple, but all too often the sitters are dropped.

booming kick - i'll give credit here. great range. accuracy is pretty damn good. one good quality that is needed by a quality full forward.

intelligence - hmmmmmmmmm

as long as he can get away / keep himself away from the recreational "issues" that have plagued a few other players (many of whom havent been exposed yet) he will continue to get games.

more games = more experience which would hopefully equal improvement...

/my thoughts

lynch is good. but it isnt hard to be a forward with a good goal record wen u had the likes of judd, cousins, kerr, stenglien etc delivering u the footy with pin point accuracy.

steve milne also has a decent goal record so maybe u should be givin him some credit aswell.

Lynch is sensational. his work ethic makes up for small mistakes he makes at times. he will gain continue to improve this year and finally people will start to take notice of him. If i went for the dockers i would be ashamed to have such a Co^k head such as farmer at the club!
