A few people have come up to me and asked 'why is it split six and two' and not four and four - the reality is i have no idea either!
As we have just finished the split round, im wondering....do the AFL need to change their approach on the round?
How about a set up like the first week of the finals on both weeks, where one game is played on friday night, saturday afternoon, saturday night and sunday afternoon (or even twilight sunday if that attracts more viewers).
I'm not sure if its all money and fame involved and channel seven and ten are interested in seeing how many ratings they can pull from playing one game on the weekend but i think it really should be about the fans (even know that isn't always the case).
Just wondering what you guys think about the 'split round', should it be changed? and to what?
