Who will these teams finish (Between 8th & 12th)? North, St.k, Carlton, Tigers, or Dons?
8th North Melbourne 11-1-10 (50/50 run home..they'll win a few crunch games)
9th St.Kilda 11-11 (Not bad run home, they'll choke in a few games)
10th Carlton 9-13 (Extremely tough run home, will maintain a healthy % tho)
11th Essendon 9-13 (Nice run home will win 4/8 games, poor % tho)
12th Richmond 7-1-14 (Very hard run home, will only win last 2 games)

The only important thing that could change is if saints play well and beat magpies OR if they beat North Melb in round 21!, they can make the finals rather than North.

After seeing carlton's extremely tough run home, it would take a miracle.

Essendon will continue the great form, beating tigers, lions, demons and eagles and will lose the other 4 games.

Richmond have an extremely tough run home and will only beat the dockers and demons in the last 2 rounds....OR if they beat the bombers in 2 weeks, this would make them finish 11th and put Essendon in 12th.

so who do you think will come 7th? Richmond. You should be more confident that your teams gonna make 4-6 cos i rate them higher than colligwood and brisbane.

Does anyone think Port is a chance, or do we all just take Mark Williams' comments that the cue is in the rack and assume they'll meander into 13th? That's bloody pathetic from last year's #2.

Looks about right, although I think Richmond might end up 11th and Essendon 12th (assuming Richo is on fire again soon).

Essendon's last 7 games are the most winnable out of the 5 teams listed, although like you said they're way behind in percentage. Still, 11th or 12th isn't bad considering they were second favourites for the wooden spoon

As few people remembered to point out during that awful stretch, Lucas is Essendon's most important player, and McVeigh is damn handy as well. Put them back in the team and they're a different unit. Meanwhile, I can see the youth of Richmond waning down the stretch. I'd remain confident in your boys finishing ahead of them.

i must say sorry ive made a mistake...north dont play saints again....so the saints would have to beat pies or another one of there games i tipped them to lose...to make the 8!

I wouldnt be so sure that essendon will beat richmond and lions. Tigers arnt a bad side but they are young and play very inconsistant footy. The lions are a very good team, dont let the loss to the dees make you think that they are easy beats.

3 big games will/ have been played from this round on. Kang v St.K, St.K v Carl and Carl v Kang. Whichever team gets the most pts and % from these games will make the 8. Saying this for kangeroos to make the eight they must beat the blues by alot to get % and hope that saints loos to the blues. If saints will next round v blues id put them in the eight.

jakey u stole my topic!
after looking at the upcoming fixture this is a very tough one to call.
the games that will most likely decide it will be the st.k v carl game and carl v nth game.
all teams have 1 or 2 (likely) win games and 1 or 2 interstate trips .
too close to call , momentum is the key and if anyone of them pinches a game here or there thats going to help.
my tip is north because of the draw they have, (dont have to rely on %)
but go the BLUES!!!!

Yeah, that draw may mean that North can even sneak into the finals on a losing record - such is the effect of the abnormally low number of losses at the top end of the ladder.

Sounds about right. But, as Adrian said, those eight point games are key.
