who else is stoked Brissie lost to Melbourne?? BY A POINT
So happy i got to watch Brissie go down by a point, sitting amongst 20 'Jump on the Bandwagon' supporters, or should i say 'supporters since '02 when they started winning some flags!!

Living in Qld and following AFL its hard to find a loyal Brisbane Bears supporter. Loved watching them cringe when the bottom of the ladder side beat them by ONE vital point.

Who knows it may be time for them to jump on HAWKS bandwagon since they are playing such great footy?

Who's with me?

That was a good win by Melbourne. I don't really mind the Lions all that much so I wouldn't say I was 'stoked'.

Just glad I got to watch a thrilling contest where the underdog won.

Hi Maddison, Personally, I'd prefer to dicuss the brilliant win by the Melbourne F.C yesterday, than bag out the loosing side. I think we need to give credit where it's due. Melbourne have suffered a depleted forward line and now that some of their players are finding a bit of form, they may actually win a few more games. With two of their players achieving PB goal scores for the game. Thats exciting for the Club and their fans, even though finals are irrelevant for the club now, their going to gain back a bit of pride and confidence especially within the playing group. And congratulations to Jimmy Stynes for his first win as president, hope he gets to enjoy a few more for the season.

Having said that though I can understand your discontent towards "bandwagon jumpers" it's amazing at the moment how many Doggies supporters that are getting around with their colours on, they were nowhere to be seen late last season....

Here here... Dees are a really young team now, so their effort yesterday was fantastic! It was great to see some of the players really stand up and perform in the absence of all the more experienced players- White, Robbo, Rivers, Moloney, Neita etc... it certainly put a smile on my face... I do hope they can get another couple of wins this year.

Re: bandwagon jumpers... there are always going to be people that only come out when the teams are winning! I'm from Sydney and have noticed this about the Swans... you'd be surprised how many people I've sat near at Swans game that don't know the rules, and have no idea what's going on! (having said that... there are also some die-hards out there!)

It's not fun to watch your team lose all the time but I do think that you need to be there through good times and bad... and should never be ashamed of your footy team! Go Dees! he he!

Haha, the situation wouldn't get any better for me if I picked a "back up" team - it'd be the Tigers... ha ha.

I guess I must love losing...

I'm with you Maddison. Any AFL fan in Brisbane who follows another club is treated as a third class citzen by the local media, esp Channel 7. I have seen enjoying suffering at the hands of the Lions - both as Fitzroy and as Brisbane (with all of their AFL gifts)

Tipped Brisbane of course, but really happy that Melbourne won...you know the old underdog theory coming out of me!

just another bitter Collingwood fan who can't deal with the fact that you can never beat Brisbane... Face up to the real reason why you're happy with Brizzy's loss.

I suppose you've been supporting Collingwood since the early 1920s or something.

I may be bitter mate...but atleast i still follow my team!
even after Losing two premierships.
Unlike you lions supporters who are quick to jump only after a couple losses.
