Geelong are the Protected Species!
In the first half of tonight's match against the Eagles, the Umpires have pretty much given Geelong 2 goals.. While it's hardly going to effect the outcome of the match, it is something that just shouldn't happen at all.

The first was a typical Chapman trick. He had the ball in the cat's 50, ran towards goal and was tackled perfectly legally. So he did what he always does, stops using his legs to support himself so that the tackle slips from around his chest to around his neck. And of course the ump gave him the free - what's new there?

The other one was in the Eagles forward 50 - 30 metres out from goal. Ablett had the ball, was running with it and was tackled beautifully by Wirrpanda. Ablett lost the ball, he just dropped it due to the strength of the tackle. Any other player would've been penalised for an incorrect disposal. It was obvious that Ablett disposed of the ball illegaly. The resulting free would most certainly resulted in a goal to the Eagles too.

I don't even care mutch about the two sides. But the umpires have been giving Geelong too many favours for the past few seasons, which they incidentally don't even need. It just pisses me off that the Umps can be so biased towards one team or one player.

When your team is losing you will always notice the bad things going against your team.
That I am afraid is football, and also Umps only have 2 eyes, not 20.

Every game i could pick 3 or 4 frees that have been paid that shouldn't of been, that's football.

Thankyou... I thought I was just being biased being a West Coast girl, but I'm glad you noticed it as well! Especially the Chapman incident, really annoyed me, as later in the game Chapman literally jumped on one of our players backs with his hands around his head, and no penalty was given. Yes we know Geelong was going to win anyway, but they didn't just need to give them every advantage!

wen teams are winning, the umps are less likely to pay free kicks, same if the player has a reputation. like ablet is known for how well his balacne is in tackles, so umps will let him be tackled for longer.
i no it sounds stupid but thats just wat i obseverd, same with judd and goodes.
