Carlton fans...
How do you think Richard Hadley is going?

I always rated him very highly when he was at Brisbane. His tackling and work around the clearances was always classy, even if he never racked up a lot of posessions...

But unfortunately he spent the best part of 2 - 2.5 years not playing because of injury.

Even though we hate it when we lose good players, I kind of hope he goes well at Carlton..... Whereas I couldn't give a sh!t about Aker's form at the Bulldogs

Hadley is certainly a good man to have in the team - as you say, an in and under bloke who does the right things. What will be interesting to see is whether he and Adam Bentick will be able to play together, or whether having two slow in-and-under blokes will be a liability. I certainly think he was good value for pick #52.

I'd have Aker's over Hadley anyday.

I think his stupidity and arrogance outweighs his football ability.

His football ability - shots at goals, pace off the mark, tackling, and ability to kick on both feet are excellent....

But on so many occasions he's f$cked up game plans - like when he let slip Nigel Lappin's injury concerns going into the 03 Collingwood final, and of course Lappin was then targetted during that match...

He's just so up himself that he can't see things clearly - like he thought/thinks there was a conspiracy to get him out of Brisbane, when reality was he just couldn't follow the team rules.

At the end of the day, who's opinion would you believe - Matthews' or Akermanis'... It's pretty easy for me.

Football aside, Hadley seems like a good bloke. He isn't cocky or arrogant, just works hard and plays with courage. I think it will be a year or so back in the game before we see really how good he can be...
