no fight in tigers
i would, at this moment, hate to be a fan of richmond.
watching the game today, anyone could have beaten the hawks....except the tigers.
apart from richo, and a quarter from tambling, there was no urgancy in the side.
so so many handballs to fellow players that have someone hot on their tail, kicking BACKWARDS in some instances 80 meters the wrong way.
i saw kane johnson twice withdraw from a hard ball get, which resulted in a turn over.
it was hawks bad kicking at goals that kept them in the game.
no this is not called pressure, they still have hepas more scoring shots, just didn't convert.
sorry richmond, you had your traditional stint in the top 8 at the start of the season, and like you have for the past 15 years you'll end up around 14th or somehting.
get some players who want to kick the ball forwards, and that want the ball.
the best ploy of defense alongside pressure is fear.
a new name might be fitted- richmond kittens.
and one more passing shot- the hawks had an extra 4 players on the field, they were wearing red.

Mark you obviously don't watch to many Richmond games let alone a great deal of football.

Yes the scoring was lop sided and perhaps the Hawks could of sown up the game early but they didn't.

If you have a look at the stats for the season richmond have had more points/rushed behionds kicked against them than any otherside, thats I would say could be partially attributed to the pressure that Richmond now are starting to apply.

Furthermore our entry in to the forward 50 this year has a better conversion rate than most other teams.

But hey thats okay as I mean the pies looked good against an injury depleted Essendon side, so I guess you would have to focus your attention else where.

I agree and thank you for acknowledging the fact that it wasn't the Pies playing great football.

If I was a Tigers supporter I would be damn proud. I can't wait to watch them play the Saints this weekend. It'll be a hell of a lot more interesting than the Hawthorn/Collingwood game which will be a walkover. Buddy will want to redeem himself after kicking 1.7 last week.

well stkilda havent been converting goals/inside 50s well at all this season. itll most liekly be a boring, locked down game because our coach likes that kinda crap. if stkilda are to be given a chance of winning, we need to kick 15+ goals agaisnt the tigers, especially the way they are going atm.

Well Hawthorn and Collingwood play this weekend, Lucky for you Buddy might be out. But if you guys get within 12 points of Hawthorn well you have the rights behind your comments, but if you guys don't get within 12 points of Hawks, I think you should go get Wanker or Loser tattooed across your forehead.

Mark Richmond put up a fking great game, what game were u watching? Yes Hawthorn kicked badly but alot of it was due to Richmonds pressure and a few of the points came from shots on the angles.
If Richmond played like that all season they would win more then they would lose. Jake King was awesome in the backlines and Morton has added something extra to the forward line. Richmond will cause a few more suprises this year.

Mark, Mark, Mark - what a wanker! Let me guess you also blame the umpires for ALL collingwoods losses since the dawn of time! You have Sweet F A idea about football. Richmond put up a bloody great effort against the hawks... a team that is supposed to be in the top 4 if not 2 this year. Lets see how you go this week sweetheart! You know that your a **** when you have forced Carlton supporters to stick up for richmond ones.

Mark are you for real?
Richmond put in a pretty good effort against the Hawks, did you see it?
I guess not.
Do you just like to post threads that have no merit or cause? I do too!
Anyway good luck to getting back to one kick away from winning a grand final.

You obviously don't have much of an idea about footy Mark. Playing with a team obviously less talented, the Tiges were only five points down with about ten minutes to play. No dignity lost in that.. They are gaining more respect each week and building confidence. Won't make the eight, but they'll knock a couple of teams like the Magpies off (like last year) again.
Nabih (Hawks supporter), 27 Apr 2008 22:28hide comment
not ANYONE can beat the hawks, hardly NO teams can beat the hawks, what drugs are u on
