Most ordinary in AFL...
I'm happy to be proven wrong or told otherwise BUT...

I am of the opinion that Joel Patfull of the Brisbane Lions is the most ordinary player in the AFL to consistantly be picked each week to play.

I have always thought that he possessed a lot of potential and with the ability to play forward and back put him in great stead to prove this. But watching him play since his debut he has really been a massive let down.

He has played 39 games in his career which isn't a lot but I know, but a lot of other players who have played less have contributed more to their club then Patfull has to Brisbane.

What are others opinions on this and who do you think has been a "wasted" trade/pick-up at you club?

i dispute this with the man known as Paul Bower from Carlton. The worst u18 All Australian to play the game, he would be lucky to play VFL let alone AFL.

Being an Essendon fan I tend to focus on Essendon players more than those at other clubs.. 2 Players come to mind, however - Courtney Johns is a fantastic, dominant forward in the VFL but has consistently failed to impress at AFL Level when he's had his chances.. There is a lot of potential improvement in him and I do hope he does improve but he's already been around for a while...

The other player is Kepler Bradley who we traded to Freo. He could yet develop into a great, dominant player but with all the game time he had for us he was never much better than ordinary..
