Rotations, Super subs and plain old manning up
What is going on? Who's playing on who? How long do players really need to rest and is this the reason why kicking effectiveness is down on last years? 110 rotations for the maggies on the weekend and now they want more players on the bench (or super-subs as Tezza wants).

Maybe we should just go all NFL and have special teams come on and off as the ball is moved up the field! What's happened to good old one on one footy - manning up!

There are natural limitations on the amount a team can rotate. Just because Collingwood is trying to make an example out of itself today, doesn't mean that their tactics are a) necessary or b) long-term. It's hardly an issue, but the last thing we need is extra substitutions - with short list sizes full of inexperienced youngsters, we don't need another one or two of them missing out on experience by playing "twelfth man" as it were.

who gives a **** how many times a coach rotates his player.
if he is organsied enough to do it thats an advantage he has got over the other team.

puttin in a cap on how many rotations a team can do will just make games slow down at the death i think.

Well said Matt, Couldn't agree more.
AFL is obviously considering something as they trialled the 16 i/c limit in the nob cup. I hope it stays how it is. I am also dead against allowing 6 i/c players instead of the current 4

Too many unnecessary rules complicate the game. Just let the coaches use however many rotations they feel they need to win the game.
