Do people still think the Crows are boring?
I think there's a perception amongst AFL supporters that the Crows play boring football. After the NAB Cup final when the Saints flooded and made it difficult to score everyone was again jumping on the Crows despite the fact that we had kicked more goals in the NAB Cup than most sides. Certainly we were one of the lowest scoring teams last year but people forget that all of our first choice forwards were injured last year. And that kick-to-kick strategy was admittedly stupid but I don't think you'll see any of that this year. Craig has made a statement that we will be playing more high-scoring football this year and I certainly think you saw that against the Bulldogs. Having said that, our defence was pathetic against the Bullies. Hopefully, that improves in the coming rounds.

Were they ever not boring?. I'm a VIC so i hate Adelaide, but it was more entertaining when Jarman and Modra wee playing. Plus! Adelaide has the worst supporters who rarely turn up for a game let alone sell out Footy Park (AAMI)

I am wondering wether amanda has confused herself with Port Adelaide, as they have the worst support. we have more supporters than Port and probably your club, for that matter, we are are definately better behaved than Port. So how Carlton has finish up in the bottom 8, are they boring ot what?

The crows were a major yawn fest at times last year, this year things have changed. Craigy has diffinately changed the struture of the crows to be a more attacking team, this is evident by 100 plus scores in the last two weeks. Although when ever the crows play sydney or st. kilda, its usually a low scoring bore-fest, im not looking forward to those games.

Crows have been in two of the most exciting games, sure the Doggies won but it was a great game and we thrashed the Eagles by 13 goals! 21 7 i dont think that was boring! i was at the game and hell i enjoyed it... and crows were meant to finish down the bottom of the ladder according to the melbourne media..

Burton is as inconsistant as they come... well not as inconsistant as milne, but u never now, hes been pretty good this season. and now they have tippet i reackon u ahve ahalf decent forward line. not the same as lloyd n lucas, brown and bradshaw, buddy and dew and boyle or even gehrig reiwoldt and kozi but yeah.

How can people say the 4 most boring teams are St Kilda Hawthorn Sydney and Adelaide??? St Kilda were only boring the last 2 games because one the NAB Cup game was bad conditions and windy, so with these conditions it gets flooded thats the main gameplan. With Saturday night they were sick of Sydney getting away with the flooding game so what do they do, they go out there to beat them at their own game. This weekend expect them to be free flowing and hard hitting against the Blues. So they are anything but boring.. Hawthorn if you look at Sundays match is anything but boring. Adelaide obvously not boring, we are hard running and now an exciting side, just look at the Dogs match everyone will agree it was one of the classics. Sydney won a premiership not long ago and are still a great side. Sure they flood a lot but come on peoplle its AFL football how can you be bored with it, as long as that leather ball goes through the big sticks a few times a quarter and the skill level isnt too bad, I will watch it!!! If I thought any teams were boring to watch they would be from 3rd to 1st. 3) Kangaroo's, something about them has always put me to sleep I think its the blue and white stripes. 2) Richmond, Richo and co cant keep me interested by themselves! 1) Carlton, lack of skills, no real talent, I think they recruited Judd for that but from what I have seen so far I think I would prefer to watch 8 Mile with EMENEM and thats my most hated movie ever! I sadly watched that disgrace the AFL covered up to call footy last week and that was the first time ever I have wanted to watch absolutly anything but footy. I live and breathe footy, I play footy, and I seriously would prefer to sit back and watch reruns of the game where my old team got done by 214pts, there was more skill by our opponents than Carlton! I miss the days of Mil Hannah, Steven Silvagni, Brett Ratten(playing), Kouta up forward and of course Greg (Deisel) Williams, even Campo, ahh those were Carltons days, but as they left one by one its like you could see Carltons soul leaving with them bit by bit and now its gone apart from Kouta and the Port reject Stevens. Whitnalls gone, and the major thing for Carlton is they arent going to take on the free flowing excitement of preseason till about 5 weeks b4 the end of the year. Everyone thinks they will change next week but with the lack of talent in the side including the most over rated player in the AFL Fevola, there is no team in the league with a forward as bad as him. Adelaides 3 main forwards are better than him, for the main fact, it doesnt really matter how many goals you kick in a season whether its 120 or 40, its all about how you treat your team mates and coach. Fevola treats the team and coach like dickheds pardon my french but its true. He goes out gets in trouble comes back and says he'll never do it again but he never lets you down not too long later he does it again! Like look at the urinating incident, they say he lost his captaincy over it, thats crap, they were giving the captaincy to Judd anyway no second thoughts about the matter! If he was any sought of a man he wouldve offered to suspend himself like Kane Johnson and miss the match against the Tigers. Instead they let him play and he kisses their asses and says thank you thank you I wont let you down, and what does he do? He plays like a Monkey screwin a football. How on Gods green earth can anyone think that he is anything even close to what a captain should be, I swear the defender who plays on Fev and cant keep him to less than 4 goals this year should be dropped. If I was a Carlton supporter I would be screamiing at the team officials and selectors to get rid of him back to the VFL and get someone who actually wants to play for your club and try his hardest and help the team. Like the way Fev screwed up the marking contest in the goal square on Thursday night, when his team mate had it in the bag due to height and skill, he decides to come over the top and collide with his team mate who took a bit to get up, all so Fev could get the Lime Light and look good in front of the Cameras, then instead of chasing after the ball and as any forward does try and make a situation out of something small he just stands there and does nothing! RESULT:- Tiges rebound take down the other end without a touch from Carlton and GOAL!!! Get rid of the bad eggs thats what teams do. We got rid of Hudson and Welsh 2 good players because they didnt get along with the coaching staff, Get rid of Fev he pisses on more than just restaraunts he pisses on the Carlton Football Club!!!

As I think I contended somewhere, St Kilda and Sydney are much worse than Adelaide and Hawthorn. There was a time when the latter two were on a par, and you'd have a hard time convincing people otherwise, but I can't change my opinion until I've seen the change. The two-on-one contest was not Fev's fault. The pass was to Fev - although it should have been to Edwards, who was open further up the field - and the percentage play would have been for Edwards to stay down for the crumb.

I can't say that the Crows are boring. Watching the game on Sunday at the Dome, I was relieved that my Dogs won, and impressed that the Crows could not only play the defensive tempo footy that they're notorious for, but also a free-flowing, attractive, running game. If the Crows sort out the defensive glitches from Sunday, they have the versatility that could see them in September and creating headaches for the rest of the comp. Good luck for the rest of the year (except for Round 22 at Footy Park.)

The Crows can play exciting football but i think its just the hands off style of play that Basset and Rutten are so good at frustrates opposition fans and they then get a opinion of playing boring football when really its smart football. Also opposition fans cant comment on other teams blogs but the one on the Crows section about Sundays umpiring is a disgrace. The umps were pretty decent and both teams could have gotten certain frees. To say the dogs has 3 extra players on the field is laughable and the result could have gone either way. It happens and get over it.

Carlton played boring games only through lack of skill; once the team has developed, it will be exciting to watch. Those other four teams have powerful lists, and choose to bore us with tedious play.

You all blame each other, but Adelaide, St Kilda, Hawthorn and Sydney are all boring teams - although St Kilda and Sydney are the worst offenders.

The Crows are and were brilliant to watch yesterday. Their tackling and overhead marking ability is outstanding. I've never thought the Crows were boring to watch and I also don't agree that their defense was bad yesterday, personally I think kicking accuracy was the thing that lost em the game. They had a chance to take it away from us and lost it by an inaccurate shot at goal. The luck was was on our side yesterday (for a change).

I too attended the NAB and agree with Stephen, as for the Crows and Bulldogs game, I was on the edge of my seat, the kind of game I love to watch. Just wish the outcome was to the Crows advantage, however I think the boys should have been proud, they played an exciting game right to the end
