Ive given up on this season babe go the priority picks, need a back up for BIG COX and some speed back in the midfield. Im no problem solver but its time to clean house a little the older guys have given great service but like other teams that have thrown the younger guys in the deep end, they have come out better for it. Jury is out on weather Worsfold still has the passion for the job, but then again Sheedy only won 4 premierships in 27 years and there were definately a few lows there. So i say see what happens next year with draft picks and then make our judgment. Um Glass as captain does anyone else have a problem with that just dont hear much from him.

Tell me who you think should of been made captain i dont get to see as much of them as i would like, someone who has got a long term future and has strong leadership qualities. Needs to be young yet experienced and can yell some abuse but yet look passionate about their team. Id like to say give Cousins a go again but im not on the board of the Eagles so there goes that idea. Bring back Jakovich he is still young looking and fit lol. Selwood springs to mind, I dont know who else???????

Thats a tough one as NONE of the senior players are showing leadership and leading by example this year. Cox would get my vote - he is well positioned to yell abuse and encouragement to them. I would have said yes to Selwood - but that crap that came out about him wanting those conditions on his next contract has really soured me on him. Cousins will wear black and white next year - Im sure of it, and even if he didnt I dont think his influence on the young guys would be a good thing!

I think big Eddie will throw everything but the kitchen sink at cousins, but then again most of the melbourne sides have come out and said they dont want him. May go to Sydney or Gold Coast perhaps. I hope he falls flat on his ass he was a brilliant player and captain and he pissed it against the wall and im sour on him for that. Dont want to see him play for another club

I heard this arvo that Cuz isn't going to be playing football in Melbourne in 2008........apparently he is only in Melbourne to shoot documentary and is returning to Perth shortly to train with East Fremantle and one other club - can't remember which one it was Wouldn't it be sweet if it came out that the Eagles had done a deal with him when they sacked him and that he can join us again next season if cleared by the AFL. I know there ain't a hope in hell of that happening but I can only dream......don't have much else to dream about this season......accept for hopefully scoring Rich in the draft!!

Yeah, that's what I've reckoned for a while now - he'll be at Collingwood next year if cleared by the AFL (and I suppose if he wants to return to the AFL too that is). He's got that good connection to Malthouse but hey.....who knows??!!! Geez, I'd move to Melbourne just to share a house with him

Yeah i heard East Fremantle and Perth next year for training, but after that which club honestly wants him i also heard Collingwood dont want to upset there list with his inclusion. The only clubs from Melbourne that havent mentioned him are Richmond, Essendon and Melbourne. Like Judd i hope he goes to a **** club and never play finals again lol ( Dont take to much offence Carlton supporters im just bitter on him )

Typical ignorant comment from a bitter eagles supporter. Judd leads the league in contested possesions and hard ball gets even though he is tagged heavily week in and week out. Our team is getting better and better, same can't be said for yours. Enjoy the spoon you wanker.

ok ok yet another idiot supporter of another team on the eagles website let me see if you get this. Judd is ranked 36th in the league for disposals per game, 86th for kicks Big Q is ahead of him lol, 26th for handballs again not even top 100 for marks, If you add up every stat Dean Cox is the league leader Chris Judd isnt even in the top 50. So tell me if ya want to match wits with someone of your own IQ go to the blues website but if you come here then be prepared to be mad to look the fool. No need to write back everyone knows your a looser. Here is something else Since 1990 Adelaide,Essendon, Geelong, Hawthorn, North Melbourne, Port Adelaide, and the WEST COAST EAGLES have not had the dubious pleasure of being the recipients of the Wooden Spoon. Of the winners Brisbane 3 times, Sydney 3 times, CARLTON 3 times, Fitzroy twice, Richmond twice.Melbourne, Collingwood, St Kilda, Fremantle and the Western Bulldogs have each won it once. So tell me dickhead how does wood taste????????

well fag, you are the one who shoves wood down your throat! How often does Dean Cox get tagged? Is he tackled the second he gets the ball and held onto behind play? There is a big diference between stats and actual football knowledge. We may have won the spoon, but we are on the improve. Here is some football knowledge for you... THE EAGLES ARE SHI'T AND GETTING WORSE! GONNA WIN THE WOODEN SPOON! AND YOU TODD ARE A WANKER!

You are on the improve what have you done since 95, 3 wooden spoons you should be on the improve with all those draft picks and prioity picks, fuk you should of won 5 flags by now. Dont be bitter that you paid so much for him its ok tears dry up. So what if we win the spoon least we havent won 3 in the past 5 years and we will actually do womething with our draft picks. As for football knowledge ya mum tought me well. So bye bye time for beddy bye's little man

yeah that stuff Selwood wanted i think is fair enough he is sick of the crap like the supporters. Yeah there is no real stand out someone that can take control and give em **** like a ( old ones Voss, Riccuito, Watson even Worsfold ) i think someone needs to stand up and want to own the leadership more than likely a midfielder, give Kerr a go even who knows the leadership might curve his behaviour. ( Worsfold should so ring me lol )

I dont know why former players exception worsfold only because he was at carlton but yeah former players as coaches of the team they played for it brings nothing to a team go to another club poach there ideas a bit then move on, Bring back Bluey for the defence, Matera and Kemp for the Midfield and Dunstall for the Foward coach, oh man im good. Vossy can watch Worsfold then go coach Gold Coast. We better get some good draft picks this year long termers who arent mummy's boys and want to go back to melbourne, recruit locals.

I hope we get Rich - that kid has talent, and we NEED some talent back in our midfield desperately!!!!!!!! Yeah, I like Bluey too - I like Woosha, but his lack of emotion this year is disappointing. Dumstall - cant stand him, he is almost as bad as Eddie when it comes to being team biased - which is fine - unless you are hosting a show about footy!!! They need a MAJOR shake up, it is not only heartbreaking watching them struggle this year - but its become embarrassing too, and that is something I NEVER thought I would feel about my team!

we need an out spoken midfielder to lead the team, not an akermanis loud mouth but a strong leader. Thats why cousins was good he until his **** had the respect of the group. Judd he had his talent but they only gave him the job so he wouldnt go early and he went anyway. Need someone who will be at the club for a while to so has to be a local cause all the mummy's boy's melbounrites want to go home eventually. So im at a loss for the captaincy???????????

Kerr will stay he has said it a few times this year that his gf studies in perth and all his freinds are there so my old mate woosha could probably hand him the captaincy. Need to develop a group of leaders at the club that the young guys look up to an admire. Give it another season of two and the leaders will develop. They just need to start believing in there abilities again. A bad year usually defines a club to see how they can over come the hardships and come out the other side, with the draft picks we will get i do see a brighter future.
