What does the Carlton emblem mean?
To all the blues supporters out there. I am getting our emblem tattooed on my back next week. Can someone help with the translation of MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANO...I have at present been told 3 different meanings. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys..

It means 15 losses in a row. Carlton are worse than Melbourne and have been for 5 years. Time to throw in the towel Carlton supporters. Even with three no.1 picks and the 'BEST' player in the comp, you still can't piece together a win. You can't even beat Richmond! HAHAHAHHAHAHA

Holly, your emblem, MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANO I believe is a latin word that when translated means - MEN WHO LOVE SPOONS MADE OF WOOD

ha ha... that's a good one...

My friend, a Carlton supporter who used to give Brisbane so much sh!t until the last few years has a nice collection of wooden spoons in his kitchen. Every year around September I go around to his place and give him another one.

I wonder if I can order an annual subscription to a wooden spoon factory, so they can just deliver it to him each September.... or August, or even July?

Mens sana in corpore sano (a healthy mind in a healthy body) is a famous Latin quotation, often translated as "A sound mind in a sound body.
Its An answer to the question of what people should desire in life

It means something along the lines of "healthy mind in a healthy body"....at least, there's a dictionary i have that says it means that. they've probably taken it as something about fitness maybe?
