He will prob get a week with his good record - this was not posted by a complaining crows supporter was it. Great game by Bock - 50 possessions but you still lost. Any one could rack them up in the crows backline. No Taylor, Gurrra, Crawford, Croad, Sewell, McGlynn and Bateman for a half and we still beat you. Its interesting to see how the Crows against the big boys - they are great at beating the bottom 8 sides.

Mate you didnt watch the game did you? The way you are carrying on is like a two old who didnt get their favourite toy FAIR DINKUM, you want to complain about the umpires, what a joke did you actually see the free kick count mate 19 - 12 to the crows so you tell me how the umpires pulled on the brown and gold jumper. You want to whinge and whine why dont you whinge and whine that N Graig (WHO I ADMIRE AS A COACH) did not leave Bock on BUDDY in the final quarter especially after doing a bloody good job on the block for 3 quarters of football. SO INSTEAD OF CRYING ABOUT BUDDY GETTING OFF (which he bloody well should of considering it was is first offence and he did give an early guilty plea, and that goes for anybody in the AFL it would not of mattered who it was). OR CRYING about the umpiring which actually favoured you guys especially 50 metre penalties. You can cry why you did not play man on man defence when we had the ball in the back line for 2:30 minutes, or why J Porplyzia went for the smother instead of going for the tackle on Hodge.

That game was match of the round, in my opinion, fantastic to watch. And I totally agree with you in that, Why the hell didn't Craig let Bock follow Buddy up the ground when he changed positions? Bock was doing an excellent job on Buddy and Bock should have stayed on him. Everyone is talking about Ratten out coaching Malthouse on the weekend, that there is Clarkson stategically out coaching Craig at the most crucial point in the game, who I also respect as one of the greats in the league currently, but In those last few minutes, when the Hawks started playing tempo, why was the Crows defense so loose?

But one thing I did notice about the umpiring, Buddy was shown a little what seemed like leniency after he got reported. He performed a blatant high tackle at one stage and wasn't pulled up for it, there were a couple more, but thats the main one that springs to mind. Overall though, the composure and poise of the Hawks this season is inspiring to watch. But I was hoping Adelaide could win, then we'd be above you guys on the ladder.

Probably harks back to that famous Richmond game. Adelaide is so well drilled in its standard gameplan that it struggles when teams play kick-to-kick against them.

And thats what makes them great, but you also need a counter attack plan, which is pretty simple, when a team starts kick to kick, MAN UP! You cant play kick to kick if theres noone to kick to. Game plans are fine if it's winning you the game, but horses for courses if you get my drift.

And weren't the Crows one of the first teams to do the kick to kick, going backwards rubbish to run down the clock???? Then Richmond went and did it back to them and won the game - you'd think they woulda learnt their lesson then.
Craigy has no plan B and other coaches are starting to wisen up to this!!

I believe it was Essendon in 1997. They did it in the Easter Monday game in round 1 against the Blues.

Oh no Kristy thats the umpires fault
Aaron from Perth (Blues supporter), 15 Jun 2008 16:54 hide comment
That's crap. There were just as many decisions that went the crows way, quit whinging

Believe me, that is all Crows fans do is whinge when they loose! Actually - they just whinge all the time!

Like the obvious free kick to Lewis 20m from goal in the last 5 mins for the shirt pull. Adelaise won the free kick count didnt they 19 - 12. Great call with the play on call from the ump when Tippet was 10m out from goal though LOL. Agree we got that one in out favour.

He won't get more than 125 points, which will mean a 93.75pt reprimand at worst. The Fifth Quarter did a reasonable job of gathering similar incidents together, and highlighted a key factor: that the blokes who have been cited were playing the man, while the blokes playing the ball (Russell against Stewart) got off. An important difference was the presence of Osborne simultaneously tackling Doughty - all of the other incidents were 1-on-1, but this was a 1-on-2, and the tribunal may let Franklin off because Osborne contributed to the bump slipping high.

if he gets of the afl tribunal system is bull****.
the rule was put in so that exact thing doesnt happen.
Katherine from Frankston (Bulldogs supporter), 15 Jun 2008 11:44 hide comment
he will get off cause they want him to kicked over 100 goals. he should get 1 week. cause if these guys keep gettin off then their system is stuffed
Brendan from Melbourne (Magpies supporter), 15 Jun 2008 10:46 hide comment
Sorry mate, that didn't read very well. I said he WAS going for the ball. When play changed (other player coming in) he decided to pull out and protect himself.

Does that make more sense?

Brendan from Melbourne (Magpies supporter), 15 Jun 2008 9:51 hide comment
He should get off. There was nothing in that. He was going for the ball, play changed at the last second. He pulled up and put his shoulder up to protect himself.

Unlike GOODES, there was no change in direction and the other player didn't have his head over the ball.

If Goodes got off, Franklin should too. Those AFL peanuts have set a precedent.

He was a star in the last quarter.

Didn't see the incident. This ****ing rule where they can't show reported incidents ****ing blows. Personally I would like to see him get off. But eh
