Scott Pendlebury or Marc Murphy?
Who will make a better player?
As a collingwood supporter I'd go with Pendlebury. His work ethic is second to none. He has class and poise beyond belief and has drastically improved his tackling to the extent that he is top few in the club after not being so proficient last season. Also becomming a real ball magnet of past weeks.
Carlton supporters will clearly go with Murphy, but all views welcome.

Pendlebury is a long way behind Murphy..look at the last game between Carlton and Collingwood...Murphy did the job...Pendlebury struggled to find the ball

Interesting in 2006 the comparison was draft pick 1 to 2, not 1v5. Why compare? I'm rapt with Murphy and I'm sure Collingwood wouldn't want to swap Pendlebury for anyone. And i'd prefer either over Motlop

This has absolutely nothing to do with the question asked!
Now, if it was a question about who is the biggest d*ckhead then I think that you have it spot on!

It could also come under the heading of 'who looked like the biggest tool after kicking a goal'? I mean, what wanker goes 'Whats my name?' after kicking a goal?? I'll admit that it was a great goal, but did he have to carry on like that?
Now I'm totally getting off the subject.....sorry Motlop doesn't even come close to Pendlebury or Murphy!!!

Marc murphy i just think he looks exciting when he gets the ball and has great skills and you know he will do something with it pretty special.Pendlebury good player though.

The question has nothing to do with the tigers!! Besides pendlebury is hardly a hard man himself. Relies on burns and o bree to get the ball out to him.

I always said to mates at work e.g Collingwood supporters, that your player Pendlebury is a champion and so is Murphy ..Me as a Carlton supporter i'd love to have Scott in the navy blue but cant and im not gunna disrespect young footballers...all i can say is theirs heap and heap and HEAPS of young champions,,,so my last words are GO THE BLUES,and i really hope the old rivalry will live on ,,GOD BLESS AUSTRALIAN RULES FOOTBALL

yeah no doubt. still shattered about the game on the weekend. fair to say Murphs was on fire. We r not as good as what the media made us out to be.

id go murphy. onli coz ive seen how he can play wen hes confident.

Pendlebury was coming back from an injury of some description - admittedly not a big one, but enough to cut him some slack.
Adrian from Melbourne (Blues supporter), 16 Jun 2008 15:21hide comment
after the last game you must go Murphy. Pendlebury was average and Murphy was just about best on ground. If we impoves his goal shooting he would almost be the compleate package.

Scott WHO???? didnt you watch round 12??

Pendlebury right now, because Murphy still turns the ball over too much. Give him a couple of years, and it will be Murphy, because he will be more like Judd and Ablett (in that tacklers will bounce off him). Both will make several All-Australian teams.

With pendlebury's incredible work ethic, he has literally been told to stop training so hard. He is always first there and last to leave. He will only get better and will continue moving forward and not take a step back. Hard to see Murphy passing someone with this incredible work ethic, but who knows? Both will certainly become all australians and are easily the best 2 players from that draft year anyway.
Christopher from Melbourne (Magpies supporter), 12 Jun 2008 17:36hide comment
they are certainly both compairable, just stylistically different types of players.
Christopher from Melbourne (Magpies supporter), 12 Jun 2008 17:24hide comment
Both players from that particular draft year are probably the 2 best... but who is better? I'd prefer Pendlebury personally, he really killed it in the all star game and someone so young that can show that they can compete with the VERY best in the game should be recognised as one of them!
Jackson from Bendigo (Magpies supporter), 12 Jun 2008 17:18hide comment
Pendles is a freak. At the start I didn't rate Murphy at all. but im happy to say ive eaten my words, Murph has really impressed me lately. He's coming along nicely. It's silly to compare two player's against each other.
