Tigers Terrible Turnovers
I am never one to come on here and directly bag out a team or it's players, but the tigers should be ashamed for the amount of turnovers they created today against Geelong. And as soon as Geelong upped the anti they had absolutely nothing to respond with. I know the conditions were tough today but to have played such a good first half and then allow the Cats to get 30 odd points in front in these kind of conditions was frustrating to say the least. Credit to the Cats for their continual poise and fine ball handling.

And to be brutally honest Jordan McMahon must be kicking himself for handing Geelong 2 goals on a fine silver platter, I was relieved when the Tiges took him off our hands, how can someone who is really quite small compared to others play an effective game in defense? He was doing that sort of thing for the majority of last season with the Bulldogs.

Your young side would be second on turnovers to Carlton.

Tigers show a lot of poise these days and you can clearly see that after a bit more development the Tigers probably will re-awaken as a sleeping giant next year or the year after.

I think the same for the Blues.

It would be good to see Richmond and Carlton back as powerhouses again and it is in the wind now, all just a matter of time.

Agreed, especially against Freo on Sunday. I really had more faith in the Tigers to beat Geelong tho and if they could've kept possession they were in with a real chance. You just cant afford to make errors like that playing Geelong. And I also agree that the Tigers have shown immense improvement this year and with their full side in and Bowden back they are as competitive as anyone in the comp.

I'm not looking forward to our game against you guys, I'm going with my boss who is a Carlton supporter LOL should be a good game.

It's only a third of the way through the season, both Carlton and the Tige've got the potential to finish top 8. It's a long season anything can happen...

Coming from a team in an identical position, I'm going to agree in principle. Ultimately, young teams commit turnovers; these go away when they've played together long enough to a) gain more skill and b) work for each other. Right now, I'm satisfied to see Carlton commit turnovers, provided they were trying to do the right thing at the time - and up until tonight I was pleased with that, but the turnovers against Brisbane were pretty poor intelligence. Thing is, both Carlton and Richmond are competitive in spite of any turnovers they're committing - which is something worth being optimistic about.

Absolutely, I rate the tigers alot higher than most people. And it was their younger players that contributed to majority of the turnovers, but how many times this season have we seen teams start really well and impose an impressive lead just to loose the momentum, even if only for a few minutes, the opposing team will kick 4 or 5 quick goals and instead of it being game on all of a sudden its game over.

The Saints, Freo, Port, Tiges have all done it on more than one occasion this year, the work rate is all there but it's their errors mixed with poor kicking that loose the game nearly every time. And not to take the glory away from either but It makes Geelong and the Hawks look alot better than they really are because a good team will always capitalize on the mistakes of their opponents. I know Geelong is a gunna cop a drop it's only a matter of weeks. Maybe I was drunk when I picked Richmond in my tips. I cant help it I just cant wait to see them get beaten.

Can it be a matter of two weeks? If you hope Geelong loses in two weeks, I'll hope Hawthorn loses in two weeks.

Lets hope so. I hate to say it but I dont think the Pies have got it in them at the moment maybe you guys have. As for us beating the Hawks I have to say is possible, providing we can do the inevitable and shut Buddy out of the game and play our own game which will be out running their defensive pressure through the mid field.

Yeah I reckon Brisbane are the Goods for sure. And I also think Brennin is probably their most under rated player at the moment. I cant help but remember the game last year BRISVCOLL when Brennin kicked 7 goals, he may not be 100% consistent but he always impresses me with his effort.

Yeah, bit like Chris Tarrent. He was really good I thought today for the Dockers. We just killed em in the last quarter. GO DOGGIES 08

I think the intent is there and that's the one thing all tigers fans have loved so far
Recent years there was no drive and motivation and no one put there head over the footy
The skills and the confidence can come in coming years the intent is the foundation of the team into the future
Dave from Adelaide (Crows supporter), 17 May 2008 22:09 hide comment
i heard about that. Neverless the tigers are been competitive i think of late. The fans want to see it rather than getting thrashed.
