Ok, Tarrant, Tredrea should be added to the list. For my boys, Sherman and if you had asked me last year, Power but he has played a bit better this year. As for no 1, Riewoldt by a mile. And if Buckley was still playing.....

Wouldn't go that far. I'd go as far as to say that some are even underrated. Xavier Clarke doesnt get half the recognition that he deserves.

i reackon brenan is over rated. he does some freakish things but has absolutly no consistancy and does a lot of stupid things for the amount of talent he has (alot)... like trys to use 1 hand for everything.

Name one thing that is special about him other than the umpires wrapping him in cotton wool!!!!!!!! Supporters and Commentators go on about him being some sort of football god... He wouldnt know how to get a hard ball... go to touch him and the umps give him a free.... he is only any good because the umps/commentators make it that way... aswell as what talant he does have out shines the others at the saints cos there is nothing else in the side.....

ill show u something that is special about reiwoldt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJGeSRJ5MMQ that is both courages and skillful... to go with the flight of the footy into an on coming pack and still manage to take a mark after hitting a player. granted it may have onli been steven milne, but he had his eyes fixed on the footy and still ran full bolt into a pack. you asked for 1 special thing and there it is. if u say reiwoldt is over rated because of wat commentators say about him... ****... half the afl is over rated them. chris judd must be over rated because i always here ppl go on about how hes so good in stopages... and buddy must be over rated coz ppl say how much of a freak he is. james hir must be over rated because he got a lot of free kicks. sam mitchel must be over rated because he gets a **** load of frees. as for him having little skill... u r a joke. under 18 all australian, all australian, multiple club best and fairest, rising star and an award that no umpire or media has a say in. the AFLPA MVP (liegh matthews medal) whihch is undoubtly one of the greatest personal honors you can recieve in AFL. if u think having all those honors after just 7 odd years in afl is being overrated.. ur dumber then u sound.

you know that just be having won some of the lesser medals and awards that doesnt mean he is still overrated if he's that much of a champion where's his coleman? where's his brownlow? why hasnt he lifted his talent laden club to a flag? players of high calibre can win such awards as under 18 all australian, all australian and club best and fairests yet on that foundation of such awards and with such hype...he has done very little if anything

but hes still won a AFLPA MVP... have richmond got a player that has one of thsoe?. also a team with a lot of talent doesnt beat a champion team, such as geelong. stkilda dont work well enuf together and i dont se ehow u can say how stkilda not working well together is to blame on reiwoldt. sure he is the captain but there is onli so much he can do. also stkilda have a very over rated list and isnt nowhere near as good as the media hype them up to be. as for the coleman... not many CHFS win em. not sure wen the last CHF to win one was but yeah... not many do. and the brownlow is one by who the umpires think the best player in the AFL was through out the year. a lot of great palyers have gone through there career n not won one. arguably one of the greatest palyers to play the game in wayne carey never won a brownlow... so i suppose u cant really rate him either. also.. AFL players have said that the AFLPA MVP is a lot more of an honorable award to win... as it is voted by your peers.

tell you what we have got more than 1 flag! i can blame it on riewoldt as he is the captain..the coach picks the players and tells them the plan...the captain is the one that actually gets the "teamwork" element happening out there on the ground the coleman was a bad example Carey was also rated as the greatest player ever though (i dont agree but hes up there) because he was a game breaker...the tag of the "gamebreaker" is one toted of nick riewoldt before every single game by the media (this game he's gonna dominate etc etc)..we might have seen 1 or 2 games when he actually did that but he hasnt done it from my recollection for possibly years and as for the AFLPA MVP award..who cares no-one Joel Bowden is the president of the AFLPA Executive Committee and I think that means he was voted there by his peers does that mean I should be proud of him?

lol who cares? hahaha ask any footballer if they rate winning a AFLPA MVP over a brownlow and i reackon pretty much all of them would say yes to the MVP award being more honorable. maybe reiwoldt was a bad choice as captian... maybe he doesnt have captaincy material. doesnt mean he is over rated coz he isnt a great captain. as for my example with brownlows.. mate carey was an example of 1 player. my point is if a great player goes through his career he has got 10-15 chances tops (unless ur one of the rare palyers that plays more then 15 seasons) to win a brownlow. ALOT of great players have gone through there careers n not won one. so i suppose all of thema re over rated also. scott west has never won one- over rated. richo has never won one- over rated. see how stupid it is to say a person is over rated because they havent been able to win a brownlow... richo n west are 2 of the greatest players in the past decade. reiwoldt is a game breaker. he has helped win many games for stkilda. his recent form has been shoking i no, but he still has the ability to change the direction the game is taking, either by taking a courages mark, or somehow managin to get a kick on target n kick a goal. its ur opinion that reiwoldt is over rated and i honestly dont give a **** wat u think coz i dont no u, nor ever will... but to say a player is over rated because he hasnt won a brownlow or because he hasnt won a coleman or because he hasnt won this or that award or because he doesnt have a great kick is one of the stupidest things i ahve ever heard. you cant say someone is over rated purely on the fact they havent won a brownlow n they sometimes miss goals they should kick (wen ppl no reiwtoldts a **** kick at goal and dont acctually rate his goal kicking). its just dumb. think about other greats who ahvent won a brownlow or had a great kick like richo and agree taht the likes of those palyers to are over rated. then i may acctually listen to wat u ahve got to say

ffs he's not overrated because he hasnt won a brownlow ITS BECAUSE 3 or 4 years ago when he was dominating he was rated as 1 of if not the best players going around and he was said to be THE star of the future...the next great forward...he was rated by all and sundry to win a brownlow...a certainty almost.. you signed him to a mutli billion dollar contract or near enough and then what? its not his recent form I am going on its from this golden age of nick 3 or 4 years back when he was seen as the kid that was gonna make the big step up...I see that he hasnt actually progressed since then...he hasnt got any worse BUT HE HASNT GOT ANY BETTER maybe he isnt gonna actually make that step? he's overrated as he hasnt repaid anything what people have invested in him since those stellar year/s and yet he is still talked up by everyone for the star he is or "is going to become" and anyone would have a brownlow over the AFLPA's MVP award sure the illustriousness of being voted by peers as the best would feel good but the brownlow is something different... its not cos he hasnt won awards its because he's consistently not in the mix to win awards...i agree great players have gone there whole career without winning the awards they deserve but they at least have gone close or been in the mix...Nick isnt in the ballpark

i still dont se ehow he is over rated. even if he hasnt or mite not get to the standard the media said he would be he is still a force in the forward line that gets 2 sometimes 3 players playing on him. u dont see many over rated players with numbers on them like that and he still kicks 2 or 3 goals a game. as i said u saying he is over rated doesnt bother me and atleast u gave some reasons to y u think he is... unlike the ppl who just put a name without a reason.

lol yeah i dont reackon we woulda got anywhere. i reackon dale thomas is the most over rated player in the afl. i also reackon its a bit harsh for kozi to be in the over rated palyers. he is definatly not going as well as everyon thought he would be going but he has had a injury plauged career... the list of injuries is huge. i dont think u can really say kozi is either rated properly or over rated until he gets over all the niggles he has had. and wat u think about pav?. i dont think he is over rated because hes one hell of a player... but he is a bit selfish and isnt always the team player.

Sorry, buts thats a load of rot. I can't even remember the last time the media called him a gamebreaker or said he was going to dominate, in fact most times I've heard him mentioned in the last 4 years its been when his form has been questioned because of fitness issues. You're also kidding yourself by blaming Riewoldt for any lack of cohesiveness within the team, some players just don't work in some environments, perfect example is Mal Michaels, was ready to quit after playing at Brisbane, but thrived at Essendon; it's idiotic to say that one player is responsible. He's not the most brilliant player out there, but he's definitely not overrated.

I personally think he is over rated as a FF simply because i've seen him on more than 1 occasion have the deciding kick of the game and blow it due to an inaccurate shot for goal. As a player though he is definitely not over rated, his work rate is really up there, it makes you wonder though what he is gunna look like when he returns hopefully later in the year. He'd have to be the most bandaged up player in the league yeah? On a different note though, did you see the article in the Herald Sun today about players being advised to avoid logging in to any fan based discussion forums and the like, so as to avoid becoming depressed from the insults that can rack up about them? And apparently there are ***kwits out there that log in as the player who's been copping the insults and post replies to the so called "cyber bullies" who are starting the nasty threads. HUH? I know I spend a fair amount of time posting stuff on this board wasting time when i could be doing something productive, but these idiots need to get a life outside of "cyber world", what a pack of losers.

ok. with reiwoldts kicking... have u ever heard someone say "reiwoldt is a great kick"?. have u heard many stkilda fans say reiwoldt is a good reliable kick?. not many people would rate reiwoldt as a great goalkicker but he still has got one of the better % at goal in the AFL and ur rite in the fact that he misses the crucial goals. but not many people rate nick reiwoldts goal kicking ability so i dont see how u can say he is over rated on that aspect alone. if your rating someone as over rated because they miss a lot of shots... look at buddy. he has the 3rd worst % at goal, infront of onli quintin llynch and travis cloke. sso franklin would be over rated just as much as reiwoldt is. thats if ur looking at saying someones over rated purly on there kicking. thats wat annoys me anyway... and yes... i agree with u on ur different note. but AFL players do log on n look wat ppl say about them at there own risk.

Rob shirley- gets a game every week but wouldnt if he was in another team. he doesn't get enough ball and is a bit soft. He is a tagger but doesn't shut down the real good players like harvey, judd. he cant keep up. He struggles the last year and a bit. he is not consistent and when you think he will be dropped the next week he plays a good game and keeps his spot. Overrated!!! Lucky to have kept his spot
