Simon Black??? Has the best ability below his knees in the AFL. Huge workrate and always at the bottom of the pack. No way he's underrated even for a Brownlow medalist.

Hey TOM, STEPHEN MILNE.... cant even run in to an open goal and kick a straight drop punt, has to snap the ball. Its the only way he knows how to kick!!!

Pretty fair call actually, he is great when he plays well, but atm those games are too few and far between. And he does frustrate me when he puts himself under pressure, but i think as the saints continue to find form, he will too.

Riewoldt and Kosi? thats laughable. I think any opposition would be sweatin over trying to match-up these 2. Steve Johnson should be up there. Yeah he is good at kickin goals, but he doesn't work very hard, doesn't do anything courageous and he isn't very good at all outside the forward line.

All I can say to Tom is you must not watch any footy or listen the comments of other players. They all talk about Steve Johnson's amazing work rate. He kicks goals he comes of the edge of the square and bursts through the centre to create opportunites, he gets back to help across half back and he won a Norm Smith. I could go on. If you want overated you could just name the majority of the Saints list, for all the hype that surrounded them they have delivered nothing!

I am well aware about the compliments about Steve Johnson, and this is just my opinion about Johnson and your welcome to dispute it, but he just happens to be part of a great team, and he can receive the ball easily and with plenty of support. I don't reckon he is as good as commentators give him credit for, so maybe its just some commentators that overrate him.

Absolutly we are all entitled to our opinion, but some people give opinions when they don't fully understand what their talking about. All I was saying is a person who doesnt rate Steve Johnsons work rate and efforts outside 50 cant have seen much of him playing.

u cant really judge kozis preformances to he builds up more confidence. injuries have ruined his career so far. hope he doesnt end up like cripps n plays around 100 games in 8 years

Dale Thomas is exciting to watch, quick, takes a great mark and can kick a goal, I dont think the pies would be the team they are without him. Sam Mitchell plays a massive roll for the hawks, I could thin of plenty hawks players before him, Crawford for one, "Buddy" is another (anyone who gets the ball fed as often as he does should have already cracked the ton, Learn to kick pal!!). Cam Mooney may not get a lot of ball but he leads the AFL in Goal assists???? does that mean anything to anyone? and as for Johsnon perhaps this may surprise you Tom, but Johnson plays in the forward line BECAUSE he is good there, when was the last time yo saw Reiwoldt defending on J. Brown or Brad Johnston?? The most ridiculous thing I have ever read on these discussion boards!

I agree with most of them, but i'd have Big Q as my most overrated. Kosi lacks peripheral awareness, Riewoldt is a Troll Doll in a St.Kilda jumper and Wells is too flashy. Mooney and Mitchell are still undisciplined, but undoubted matchwinners on their day. However, Dale Thomas is a player who has avoided the second-year blues and is becoming a genuine star. Add into your overrated list Cam Bruce, although I hate to say it, Gia (still makes too many errors under pressure) and Shaun Burgoyne.

Putting a new twist to this board, I think one of the most UNDERRATED players is Robert Harvey. Plainly because he's not a show pony, that's why he doesn't get recognised as much. He's 36 going on 37 and he's running with 17 year olds. Go figure. I think Barry Hall is overrated. I always hear good things about him, then I watch him play.

Chris, fair comment but now Ross has followed your Mob tactics and playing Nick on the wing like Richo and he is going great guns!! The problem was our team was relying on him too much to mark and kick the ball straight. Also being our main target up forward made it worse due to the opposition manning up on him times 3 when the ball was down our end.

St Nick an't or won't stay on his feet mate, you pay attention to the way he plays, the way he drops the ball whist kicking, nah mate he was set up by the media, numb 1 draft pick and isj ust a big sheila. Bloody crying on the side lines against Brissy that time, what a cat.

bit harsh on riewoldt. yes he should kick more goals no doubting that, but a bit unfair to call him a shiela, do you remember that mark against sydney the other yr? hardly the make up of a shiela? its a pity more of the other over rated saints players dont give as much to their football club as wat riewoldt does. but yes u are right about ablett. head and shoulders above everyone else at this moment of time.

Have to say mate that there isn't a tiger player that I would take before the 7 mentioned!
