Without Franklin Hawthorn would be lucky to make the top 8. Still have good players such as: Hodge and Mitchell, but not a premiership chance without franklin. But what a big talking point over nothing! Franlin is to Hawthorn what Brown is to Brisbane, Brisbane without Brown would be bottom 4! Hawthorn bottom 8 without Buddy.
Brendan from Melbourne (Magpies supporter), 8 Jun 2008 14:55 hide comment
It's easy to look good in a crap team. If Franklin wasn't there, you would be on the bottom of the ladder where you belong. Not one other decent player in the side.

Robert, You are a disgrace mate.
Every Collingwood supporter knows mate that you do not venture to the dark side.
Didn't your family bring you up right?
You are committing the ultimate sin mate. If this was World War II you would have been shot.
Fancy turning it up with Carlton supporters you dirty rotten traitor.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
If they had half a brain they would ask themselves why you had been kicked off the page in the first place!
Probably because you are just like them and cant have a civil conversation without shooting your mouth off with a bunch of expletives.
We all know Robert it is us versus them and you my friend are committing the ultimate crime.

Try putting into practice Danny. Trying to embarrass Jessica a couple of weeks ago. I'm still trying and so are a few others to work out who you're trying to impress . Just Holly or all the Carlton supporters.. You seem to distance yourself from everyone. And then when opportunities arise you pounce.. Call me a Traitor what a joke. I stick up for collingwood supporters unlike you. You however like to kick em when there down. There is a name for people like you Snob comes to mind even Arrogant... I don't need your support Daniel. But when other fellow supporters are copping it try defending them instead of putting the boot in you snob... Call me a traitor you have been asking everyone on the Carlton forum to be your friend for the last six months. With no luck

HAHAHA! That is the most laughable post I will ever, ever read
The difference between you, Jessica and I is that I call it as I see it.
The only reason I would not stick up for Jessica when she was copping it from the Carlton supporters is because she is an embarrasment!
If anything she said made any remote sense I would have no hesitation in going in to bat for one of my own.
Did all network connection cease in your suburb when after Carlton beat us all she did was dribble at how we only got beaten because Carlton were paying the umpires under the table?
GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD THAT CARLTON BEAT US BECAUSE WE PLAYED **** AND WERE A BETTER SIDE ON THE DAY! NOT BECAUSE THE UMPIRES WERE PAYED UNDER THE TABLE, NOT BECAUSE THEY HAD A VENDETTA AGAINST US FOOL!
How can you possibly, possibly, possibly defend or reason with that?
I NEVER, NEVER once did anything to show that i was 'sucking up' to Holly other than state that she had the maturity to have a conversation with me without using bad language.

I am not trying to impress anyone. If that is your motive on this forum then you need to find a new agenda.
I imagine these pages are meant to be for supporters to stick together, as well as discussing issues about our own and other football clubs.
If you travel to the Carlton page you will see that all I did was try and point out that Carlton would not win if Fev didnt fire.
Surprise, surprise that is actually what happened. All i got was a barrage of abuse from Greg, Steve and a few others without being able to have a normal conversation on their behalf.
Does it not surprise you that Holly stayed away? Of course it didn't because she doesn't stoop to their level.

You are one, simple, simple man

Errr...not any more, Daniel.

Deduct Fev's score from the final result and Carlton would'e still beaten the Eagles!

I like your opinions, point of views and arguments though. It is entertaining and ultimately, without differences and adversity, football would be boring.

Actually Daniel, initially I didnt say that the umpires were paid under the table, I said it was ******* because there were some bad umpiring decisions... i still stand by that, then I said that comment bout "paying under the table" but Im not going into it, as for now I have calmed down quite alot

So you have basically just cancelled out Robert's theory that you only said it straight after the game when you were upset.

You just admitted that it wasn't your initial post and you said it some time after.

You two are as simple as each other it would seem.

actually if you read what i posted and i mean really read you would see that i said what i said first, then (in an extremely short space of time), said the following comment.... so yes i said both things, im not going to deny it....

Right Jess,

So go and fix Robert up for me, you have admitted you said it and you can see it was wrong. We didnt lose to Carlton for that reason.
If you said something that didnt sound so outlandish I would have stuck up for you ask we are both Collingwood supporters.

Robert is the one that is sucking up to Carlton scum to try and get back on their page.

So who is the traitor?

Very plain to see

but whats to fix up, i dont totally agree that the carlton and collingwood game was fair.... but im not going to dwell on it anymore, i think robert is tops.... and he cracks me up!

Yes, but you agree that umpires were not payed under the table.
Whats to fix up?. . . I don't know how to spell it out for you in any other way for you to get it through your thick head. . . .
Robert was having a go at me about not sticking up for a fellow Collingwood supporter when you were spouting rubbish about umpires influincing the result of the Carlton Vs Collingwood game.
He said I was being selective in when and who i stick up for and should be ashamed of myself and that I should stick up for Collingwood supporters no matter what
I am simply trying to point out that you can see why I didnt ' go in to bat' for you when you agree with me that the umpire under the table story you had was clearly insane.
Now lil' old Robbie is on the Carlton page trying to earn brownie points like a loser so he can post more of his dribble.
He is a traitor.
And the Carlton supporters are too dumb to realise that if Collingwood had beaten Carlton do you think lil' old Robbie would be nice?

if you want to hear "facts" daniel, so you can get your your own facts straight, then let me put it to you plainly.... the comment "carlton paid the umpires" was more of a jibe than anything else, admitted fact, and it was never the initial comment anyway, fact, the initial comment i said was that i thought the umpires had made bad calls causing us to lose, fact, and to some degree i still think they made unfair calls, however we did play a bad game.... so if your going to carry on like a pork chop to the carlton supporters then your bit of a tool, you whinge bout loyalty.... my gosh!
by the way i aint your baby!

You should have just agreed with Robert that you said it when you were upset and I MAY have been able to view you as someone that is partially sane as you said it when your emotions were out of whack due to being upset at the loss.

What you have just done with the above post is highlight that you actually had time to sit down and think about the 'paying the umpires' line and you said it while you were quite sane and calm.

I think its you who lies Daniel. If I may Quote you .... Robert we always see eye to eye we barrack for the same team!!!! Why didn't you apply that quote. Instead you had a go at Jessica on the Carlton Forum. Who has ever tried to maintain some kind of FRIENDSHIP or conversation with a Carlton so on and so on. Remember that one as well... I don't lie Daniel your own words.. But I'm glad you and I know where we stand when It comes to fellow supporters and they know where I stand. There is no need for you and I to discuss anymore Daniel And Jessica isn't an embarrassment you are

Daniel from Melbourne (Magpies supporter), 28 Apr 2008 21:03 hide comment
LOL YES!!! We always do see eye to eye!

But how can you see eye to eye with someone that can't cop a loss on the chin and has to blame the Carlton Football Club for bribing umpires with cash to umpire against us so Carlton would win!

Daniel from Melbourne (Magpies supporter), 28 Apr 2008 20:36 hide comment
So basically what you are trying to say Robert is the way you find appropriate to defend Collingwood supporters like Jessica, when they need defending, when she is copping from Carlton supporters is to get a petition started by a Calrton supporter to get back on their page?

What am i missing here?

Robert, once again. If you would please answer my question.
How can I possibly stand behind one of my supporters while she is claiming that Carlton bribed the umpires to pay free kicks to Carlton in turn the reason why they beat Collingwood?

Do you not find this insane?

Do you not see how stupid I would have looked If I stuck up for Jessica?

I don't know about you mate but I'm not for one for digging my own grave like this girl!

So the lesson to be learnt here kiddies. . .

Instead of just admitting you got beaten fair and square and got outplayed by a better team you should shutup and not say a thing.

On the other hand if you want to be totally childish and unreasonable and blame the other team for bribing the umpires like a child in Grade 6 would you should be allowed to rant and rave as much as you want.

Robert . . I believe now That's all

Daniel from Adelaide (Magpies supporter), 13 May 2008 11:02 hide comment
lol where are we going to ger our goals from, thats a interesting question we can throw towards St Kilda as well.
Our big boys are not consistent but players like Davis, Didak and like last game Lockyer kicked 4, we can share it around. We were the highest scoring side last year with Geelong so kicking goals is not the problem, its the defence thats the problem. Losing Clement was massive and its a very young defence excluding Wakelin. Brown, O'Brien, Shaw will get hammered for a while but can only help them grow as players and learn.
1 reply hide reply
Matt from Melbourne (Saints supporter), 13 May 2008 11:10 hide comment
it helped zac dawsons career getting hammered didnt it.

also saying lockyer can kick 3 or 4 goals consistantly is like saying ahrvey will score 2 or 3 every week, milne will more consisntantly kick bags of goals. both are ridiculus statments. they will occasionally chip in with a few but week to week... wont happen. and how is 4 goals from lockyer gonna help u if u lose by 60 odd points anyway. u gotta have the forwards up and firing unless ur a team like geelong that can consistantly rely on those players chipping in.

1 reply hide reply
Daniel from Adelaide (Magpies supporter), 13 May 2008 11:25 hide comment
The difference with Zac Dawson and Nathan Brown is Brown is a quality defender who has been groomed in the VFL for a full season b4 being thrown into the defence of a AFL side. Dawson went straight into AFL cause Hawthorn had nothing back there at the time. Brown is also a lot bigger then Dawson.
Milne is not consistent, my point about Lockyer is that our midfield kick a lot of our goals where St Kilda dont. How many goals does Harvey kick, How many does Hayes kick, how many does Montagna kick? they are not goal kicking midifielders which means u rely on your forwards. The current situation is Gehrig shouldnt be playing, Riewoldt cant kick for goal and Kosi plays a decent game every 5 games. Milne is your main goalscorer which is a massive issue i think.
Davis always chips in with 3 goals, Medhurst always bags 2 or 3, Lockyer always bags 1 or 2, Didak bags 2 or 3, Pendlebury kicks 1 or 2, Thomas kicks 1 or 2. I think u can see where im going. Our midfield kicks goals where St Kildas doesnt. Yes our key forwards have the same issues as yours but we get support from the guts.
Both our sides are struggling at the moment that is for sure.
The 4 goals from Lockyer didnt help last game, that was a mistake by Mick. He should be on the wing, we went too small against them but with Rocca out and no Rusling we dont have a lot of options unless we bring in some kids from the VFL but they would have got hammered by Hawthorns defence in Croad and Brown.

Matt from Melbourne (Saints supporter), 13 May 2008 11:47 hide comment
mm yeah.
stkilda midfield use to kick goals. thats wat i was getting at. u always use to see a goal or to from gram, montagna, hayes, dalsanto, ball. stkildas game plan ha gone out the window, the players dont no wat there doing n it looks like there trying to defend to much.

fair enuf with dawson aswell. i hadnt heard of brown n then he played on a few big names n did a decent job.

1 reply hide reply
Daniel from Adelaide (Magpies supporter), 13 May 2008 12:11 hide comment
yeah i remember how the Saints use to always drill them from the midfield, not sure why this has changed but i do notice the midfielders r getting back more into the defensive 50m then what they use to. Hard to kick goals back there lol.
Brown was a All Australian FB in the Under18's and had massive wraps but Mick decided to play him in the VFL to groom him. When we drafted him we had Clement and Presti and O'Brien so there wasnt that need yet. I think he has been really good this year but was touched up by Franklin but i guess there is no shame in that seeing he has hammered every FB he has faced so far.
