Hope hope hope away - it's all you have going for you. You're misguided if you judge Collingwood as a pathetic team. Anyone who knows anything about football will tell you that Collingwood are the most well-drilled TEAM in the AFL. No-one deemed good enough to make the all australian team, yet 5 points away from yet another GF tells you that Collingwood are a great TEAM, unlike Carlton - a group of a few highly talented individuals together with a mob of wanna be's - who have given their supporters less than Fitzroy gave their supporters before they were dropped from the AFL. It's pathetic that Carlton supporters can only talk about their 16 premierships in defence of their club. Who at Carlton has won a premiership with Carlton?? I'd rather watch my team win 15+ games a year every year and lose a GF than see them lose 107 out of their past 135 games!! I have something to smile about every week. Carlton supporters cry every week and reminisce about the 'good old days'. Keep counting your premierships - I'll be counting the Black and White goals on Sunday. GO PIES!!!

"5 points away from yet another GF tells you that Collingwood are a great TEAM"........YOU LOST DICKHEAD...GET IT ....YOU LOST...and what if you got in the GF?? you would have choked or blamed it on the umpires! FLAGS are all that matter buddy and you just dont have enough of them..and...the one team you dont want to play in a GF is CARLTON...you have lost 5 out of 6 to CARLTON....you want to compare teams on the day..the scoreboard does that..you want to compare clubs...FLAGS DO THAT......record losing streaks? well yeah anyone can have those...record number flags..well not everyone can have those.....CAN THEY??/.....Who at Carlton has won a premiership with Carlton?? Well thats a well thought out question D***HEAD, we are fielding the youngest team...ever, but to answer that for you..that would be the coach..Bret Ratten..you will remember him from that record setting annihilation of GEELONG in 95, by the way, which was their 16th flag and 16 game winning streak...."I have something to smile about every week."...most simpletons do!

Listen you simple little man, in order to get to a prelim, you have to at least win more games than you lose, then win two finals. In collingwoods case last year, 13 wins, beat the previous years runners-up, and then beat the previous years premiers in perth. As I referred to previously, and obviously need to emphasise again, as you made no reference to it in your angry little abusive rant, Collingwood had NO all-Australians. A great TEAM that got within 5 points of a team of greats. "You want to compare teams on the day... the scoreboard does that" - exactly - check out the scoreboards from the past 135 Carlton games. "Record losing streaks? ...anyone can have those" - ah, no, that's why they're called 'records' and that's about to be held by the CURRENT carlton team. "Want to compare clubs. Flags do that" - rubbish. Games won, finals appearances AND premierships do that. "youngest team...ever" - you're pulling that one out of somewhere dark and smelly. Players under 20yo - Carlton: 7, Coll: 7, Ess: 11; 20-24yo - Car: 21, Coll: 18, Ess: 16; 25-29yo - Car:10, Coll: 11, Ess:9; 30yo+ Car: 0, Coll: 4, Ess: 4. Ave age: Car: 22.8, Coll: 23.5, Ess: 23.2. There's very little difference. In fact, 10 of the 16 teams have more players under 20yo than carlton. Finally, what position is Brett Ratten playing on Sunday?? For the good of your health you should head down to the chemist and refill your morphine script. The pain of following Carlton is giving you major anger management issues. Stick a drip in, fall asleep, and dream of the glory days of Carlton. That's the only thing that will make you smile this year. Go PIES!!!!!!!!!!

lol good stuff Mark, but unfortunately you you cant tell anyone from carlton anything with them teliing you that they have the youngest team this year or that they have the most prems, or even that they have have chris judd (even though i think the effect has worn off) ect..... but the fact remains that not of these petty winey comments are making them win games, and thats probably due to their "youngest players list" are nothing more than little boys trying to play in a mans game, face it greg stop trying to defend a team that quite clearly at the moment cannot produce anything but embarrasing failures.... so see you on sunday mates because we are going to make it 15 for your almightty losing streak

I disagree... flags are not always the trophy of the best team in the competition. Good footy and skill is.Winning flags is good, but teams can be very good teams but not win a flag, get knocked out because of injuries to key players (or suspensions etc), and have another team play in the grand final instead. Think about last year. Had the eagles had their whole premiership side (and no injuries to some key players), we would have fought harder and perhaps beaten collingwood. Any realistic collingwood supporter would agree that the game would have been harder for them to win had we had our premiership side. (who would have won had our team been different nobody will ever know so I wont bother speculating) Either way, such is life, collingwood had the luck on their side, they outran us, and won to play port. So what? we got over it and moved on. Why does the same old tune come out of the carlton barracks? "Flags" this and that? Essendon have won the same amount as you have they not? Are they technically ahead of you in statistics as well? Remember carlton and essendon have been in the competition a LONG time. The most efficient team, is in fact (based on premierships and statistics) the brisbane lions. Then essendon. As for premierships and premiership appearances, it is essendon, not carlton. No, you did not set a record when you won in 1995. You beat geelong by 61 points. WCE beat geelong in 1994 by 80 points. Don't forget last year when Geelong beat port by 119 points.... Also, carlton supporters have the recent history of blaming stuff on the umpires and having a whinge...

Make the most of your little victory. You know so much about losing that you're happier that Collingwood lost than you are about carlton winning. Shout it out before the misery kicks in again.

You are a tosser. You are the one that talked this game up and made such a big deal of handing Carlton a "record losing streak". Now you downplay it as a "little victory"? I am so happy Carlton has won... even more satisfying it was against your useless team. I feel sorry for your club if you are a representation of their supporters. Time to eat humble pie you fool!

I'm afraid your reading skills aren't quite up to scratch. I said absolutely nothing about the game, let alone 'talked this game up'. I merely defended Collingwood and pointed out that Carlton's record over the past 6 years was woeful. Glad to see you're so happy about beating a 'useless team'. The fact is you've won 1 game out of the past 12. Have you forgotten already? Feel free to quote all the examples of me 'talking the game up'. Are you capable of posting comments without the name calling? Good luck.

What's that? Couldn't find any examples of me 'talking the game up'? What's that? You call people 'tossers' based on imaginary quotes? What's that? You're sorry for false accusations? You're quite welcome to the four points. Never let it be said that Collingwood isn't generous to the under-priveleged. Enjoy them.

have a look at your first post in this thread for example... I love the way you pies supporters all backtrack and say (after you lose) that the game doesn't matter, or it wasn't a big game (yet 70,000 plus crowd was there), or like Jessica blaming the umpires!

As I said before, your reading skills aren't quite up to scratch are they? No building up the game there or anywhere else. Collingwood are quite used to 70000 plus crowds, so that crowd number is an average one as far as we're concerned. You're right, One loss doesn't matter to us, because we know there'll be a win around the corner (most probably next week), unlike Carlton for whom any win is a HUGE win because they're rare as hens teeth (or honest carlton presidents). Like I said, enjoy it while you can.
