How much bad things have been written here in Discussion about the MAGPIES?
If you scroll through these pages here on facebook Footy have a look how much bad stuff has been written about Collingwood. Second would be Carlton then third would be Melbourne.Looks like the Magpies are still the most hated club. Or is it Port Power or The Eagles? LOL

Over 80,000 at the Collingwood V.S Carlton game was great to see.No matter where either team is on the ladder they have still pulled in a great crowd. Carlton showed that they are ALIVE! and by winning they prevented that shocking record of losses from continuing.

That maybe true.......but if you are Australian..you just have to hate Collingwood..they suck..and they choke in Grand Finals especially against Carlton..they have lost 5 out of 6 GF's..that is why they try to have a go at Carlton...They just cant beat them on the BIG DAY..remember 1970?? CHOKERS OR WHAT?

It's the main reason why I barely ever post in or even read the Flame Wars section anymore.

Most of my current hatred is directed towards St Kilda and Hawthorn. Too many dirty players, and boring/dirty coach respectively, etc. There's that underlying resentment of Collingwood, Richmond and Essendon that is always there.

I'm definately with you in channeling my hatred towards St. Kilda, but I'm not too sure about your hatred for Hawthorn.. I don't hate them, and whenever the words 'dirty players' is mentioned I initially think of some of the Geelong boys - esp. Paul chapman..

But you're right, both St Kilda and Hawthorn's coaches are boring. And why do Carlton fans hate Richmond? Is it because they've been your main competition when trying to get priority picks? Can't really get why anyone would have a reason to hate Richmond...

It's tradition. Carlton hated Richmond long before it hated Essendon - in fact, it was largely the influence of your long-term ex-Richmond player coach that focussed the Essendon rivalry. Plus, after 25-years of complete failure, Richmond fans are the most bitter and annoying to sit near - even worse than Collingwood fans.

This just invokes more "discussion" concerning Carlton and collingwood. The reason they are the most hated clubs is because they are the most loved clubs (regardless of how good or crap they are at the time), with masses of fans who are fairly, verging on very one eyed.. If their fans didn't give a **** then they wouldn't bother sticking up for them all the time.

As for me personally I get sick of seeing all the S**T about C + C. But you are right the majority of the posts on this Flame Wars page is related in some way to them. Some of the posts can be pretty funny, but most of it is fairly lop sided with fans continually having a dig at each other.

Sorry if I offend anyone when I say this but my most hated side would have to be W/C, mainly because they've given us so many hidings over the years. The victory (albeit rare) is so sweet after a W/C game.

It's a complete generalisation to brand an entire group of football club supporters as 'very one-eyed'. It's ridiculous. No attribute or personality trait can be assumed based on which football club a person supports.

I mean no disrespect to the supporters' character or personality when I refer to them as one eyed. One Eyed is what keeps them supporting their team NO MATTER WHAT. Look at the Bulldogs supporters membership base, we are 8000 memberships down on last year, I dont know how many members the Pies have (perhaps you could enlighten me) but I can almost guarantee that it's no less than last year. They pack out the MCG and Telstra Dome they are some of the loudest supporters in the league and I really believe that when the big crowds fire up (Carlton, Bombers, Pies) it lifts the team, I'd almost go as far as to say it's worth goals. I have close friends and family that are serious Pies supporters, and they are self confessed one eyed supporters. Whats so ridiculous about that?

This just comes down to different interpretations of 'one-eyed'. You have a positive slant on it which I appreciate. I've always thought of one-eyed as a negative term in respect to only seeing the good things a team does and not the bad things (free kicks given away, clangers, poor disposal, poor decisions etc). However, I'll take your definition on board.
Great win by the Bulldogs last night too by the way. If I wasn't a Magpie, I'd be on the Bulldogs. Love the way they play, and not looking forward to when we play them (You guys seem to have the wood on us lately). Cheers.

Being an Essendon supporter who's lived in the suburbs of Carlton, Collingwood and St. Kilda I've definately built a healthy dislike for those teams..

Right now I'm kinda hating the Stupid, selfish, resource-draining and futureless Kangaroos whose denial of their failure is just making it harder for other struggling clubs to survive.

people are allowed to express their feelings and if it just so happens that people don't like collingwood so be it you can't stop anyone from saying these things
