The Dogs are fit and running!
Gutsy win by the boys tonight. Key in the end was our fitness level. The Bombers ran our arses off in the 2nd and 3rd Quarters but in the last quarter they popped two hamstrings and couldn't move while the doggies kept running. Lasting 4 quarters is the key to footy 2008 style so it gives you confidence that we can score 6 goals to zip in the last quarter of one of the quickest games I've ever seen. Give credit to the young bombers ( hurt to say that ) - remind me of us a couple of years ago when we ran and ran but couldn't last the year. We now have the fitness to go all day - roll on win number 5 next week against the hacks of Tigerland.

One of the concerns out of the match was our clanger count. Our poor disposal around the ground was costly and it was only when we stood up in the final quarter that we ran over the bombers. There were also no real stand out players.. Griffo, Coons.. Boyd.. Hahn all seemed to be lacking something. Lets just hope we can make it 5-0 this week against the tigers, who i think shocked everyone by winning easily against freo!

Hi Nays, We run a footy tipping comp at work and out of everyone only 1 person picked Richmond, and it was the guy who doesn't even follow AFL. I'm definitely not going to the game thinking it will be a pushover on Sunday. You know Welsh is our leading goal kicker at the moment? Thats impressive I reckon!

i agree i definately wont be thinking the tigers will be a pushover, lets hope im well enough to go to the game though! I'm not surprised Welsh is our leading goal kicker. My bf follows the crows and having watched so many of their games in recent years watching welsh was always good. Now he's with us i hope he can bring the magic he showed there. he's got a good footy brain and can obviously kick goals. He's also not a bad mark overhead, which is what we need up forward.

It was a good win, heah isn't any win a good win? I was a bit concerned with some of the shoddy disposal attempts though. Yes they are fit and I'm loving the way they are all using their bodies in contested situations but some of the passing even from Johnno was really sloppy.

Great to keep the bombers goalless in the last qtr. Hows Griff? he is such an underrated player I reckon.
