Who will be our next Grant,Johnno, Darcy and West?
It's so to see al these great leaders, cming up to latter part of their careers and leaving the playing group. Johnno would still have a few more years ahead of him, as does west...but who's going to fill the gaps? There's some amazing new players coming through, who will standout if they haven't already? My guess...Cross, Boyd, Hill and Gilbee...as long as Terry Wallace stays away from them. What's with Richmond stealing all our players...don't loathe any other team as much as I do them at the moment.

I have no hard feelings towards the Tiges. And I really don't think any of the players you mentioned would even consider going to Richmond (is that just wishful thinking on my part tho)? I hope not coz I it will be Cross, Boyd, Gilbs maybe Griff, I also think Coons'd fill the spot in a few years. And give Hill 3 or 4 more seasons and if he sticks around I think he'll make the history books as one of the greats. I cant stop bangin on about him he just keeps on impressing me! We've had an exceptional start to the season really, last week against Adelaide for Johnno to have had such a pearla and then the floggin against Melb yesterday, I know it's only Melbourne but Crossy kicking 3 goals in the last qtr that was awesome and then Gilbs, Griff, Boyd, West, Coons, Hahn and Hill all getting heaps of the action, I'm looking forward to the challenge against the Saints next week.

I have hard feelings towards the Tiges. I was a 25-year supporter and 10-year member that fell on hard times and coudn't afford to renew my membership for 2 seasons. The membership staff told me "You're not passionate enough!" Not passionate enough?? At the time I had the Richmond club song as my mobile ringtone, heaps of Richmond gear, and until my membership lapsed, I was in the cheer squad for 8 years. If I had had the money, I might have paid, and was considering paying up again when I was treated shabbily again by the club. I thought if that was how they treated a loyal Tiger, then they're not worth a pinch of ****. I reassessed why I started supporting the club (self-preservation at primary school), and decided to look for a club that I respect and fits in with my values. I have finally found my spiritual home at Whitten Oval, even when we were playing crap late last season, I was happy. I have found all staff encountered in my dealings with the club to be very helpful and professional, and I know that there's the option of monthly direct debit if I can't come up with the lump sum, so there's no excuse for not renewing. The fact that we're 4-0 and playing out of our skins is a bonus to a happy and content 2nd year Bulldog member. Whatever happens, let's all enjoy the ride.

GLad to have you on board John Like everyone eLse who wears the red white and BLue i harbor a LittLe bit of anger towards the powers that be wearing YeLLow and BLack!! For me it started when i saw my favourite pLayer and the most taLented kick- Left or right- i'd ever seen, Leon Cameron running around in yeLLow and BLack- dunno the detaiLs of that trade but i FeLt Like the tiges had stoLen something very vaLuabLe! PLough is a seLfish man who Likes to be the centre of attention (for good and bad reasons funniLy enough!!) and poaching Brown was the Last straw! As David Smorgon says we are a much better group, and better off without them both, but it hurts to see a young taLented, ponytaiLed kid with endLess potentiaL coming thru the ranks with the heLp of granty, hawkins, smith and other cLub champions turn their back on you for DoLLars!! I disagree with the guy who enjoys watching browny's Leg snap in two!! thats buLL**** basicaLLy!! and not in the spirit of the game or of the BuLLdogs!! I nearLy got my head beaten in when i stood up and toLd a bunch of CoLLingwood faithfuL that they were a disgrace to the game, and a disgrace to parenting and humanity as they encouraged their toddLers to cheer and berate Robert Murphy after having his Leg twisted and ripped out of socket by rocca- but it was worth it if those kids think next time!! I hope we can keep a passionate footbaLL fan satisfied John! im with you- whatever happens- Lets enjoy the ride! Carna BuLLdogs

Sadly, Collingwood supporters don't know any better. The problem is that their family trees don't fork, and the sole working brain cell in the family was owned by their great-great grandfather, and he died when that cell imploded with overload after they won their fourth consecutive flag back in 1930. As for parenting skills, well that's how they do it in Acacia Division at Port Phillip!!! CARNA DOGGIES!!!

That sounds really unfair. Your well within your rights to feel that way. I only wish there were more supporters like yourself who experience contentment supporting the Bullies. It is a bit weird though, I moved to the western suburbs about 10 years ago and that was basically it, I dont think I could EVER support another team. I have my favorites and I'm pretty much VICS all the way (I mean its footy if you were born in Victoria in the last 150 years you dont know life without it), but the attachment to the Dogs runs pretty deep regardless of how we are going. And to have started so well this year your absolutely right is a bonus but I'll still be attending the matches later in the year whatever happens. Hope we can smash the Tiges out of the ball park hee hee

Why has nobody mentioned Tom Williams??? He is going to be one of the best backmen in the AFL in a few season, once he gets a few more games under his belt. But you can't go past the obvious of COOO, crossy, ray, hill, MURPH! or morris. We have such exciting youth it is hard to pick out of the bunch. CARN THE DOGS!

Your wrong on Hill, he's done nothing. We have seen new leaders take charge this year in Cross, Coon, Murphy & Hahn. By the end of the year Coon & Griff will be 2 of the best players in the comp. As for the Tigers, I love watching the replay of when Judas had his leg & career snapped in half.

ok HiLL has done nothing!! but hes done nothing wrong either!! he has 8 games under his beLt- hes a good size! quick! and very skiLfuL!! dont teLL him to pack his bags just yet buddy! think how many years its taken cooney to start reaching his potentiaL! and griffen is stiLL a Long way from reaching his!! -ALSO, i know he is far from a naturaL footbaLLer,... But WiLL Minson couLd have a massive impact on the game! running out of the square busting packs with Aka and Higgins front and square or running back with the fLight of the baLL wouLd have any backLine crapping themseLves! As weLL as having WeLsh and Johnno Lurking- and the midfieLd of cooney griffen and eagLe pushing forward!! Look out!! By the way- get over Browny mate! Live and Let Live! Don't Take PLeasure from some1 ELses reaL pain! Poor Form!

Hill is young and he's had some excellent moments so far this year, he has done alot more than your giving him credit, its only his eighth game in the league last week. Just because players dont stand out like Coons, Cross and Griff doesnt mean they are not contributing. One player that never gets a mention is Dylan Addison, he's worked super hard so far this season alright so he may not have reached every single target and he is still young as well but he's definately stepped up this year. And not to sound like a nagger but thats not much chop really what you said about Brownie. One of my really good friends barracks for the tiges and she had bulldog friends txting her when it happened with bad intent. Thats woeful...

I think Cooney, Griffen, Higgins (given he works on his defensive game) and Cross will keep us in good stead in the midfield. Key positions to replace Grant and Darcy will be hard to come by, Jarred Grant looks the goods but still early, Everitt looks all class as well. I would like to think some of the younger KPP we recruited last year may step up in the future. We have really lacked a quality tall for a long time. Richmond hasnt taken away that much from us, obviously Brown was a big one. Bowden and McMahon haven't been significant though.

Crossy, Gilbs, Murph and Cooooooon!!! A consistently fit Griffen and Farren Ray when he gets his confidence back, and Everitt are also big chances. All seven of those should play over 200 games each. In the meantime, the improved form of Gia and Aker is a great sign, as is the form of our two ex-Crows, Welsh and Hudson. I feel a little for Peter Street. He tries hard, but has been the third choice ruckman for Geelong, and finds himself in the same position here. it can't be doing the poor bloke's confidence any good.

Its definitely going to be Griffen, Cooney and Morris. People seem to forget the games Morris puts in because he a defender. He takes on players much taller than himself and kills them. Well done Dale on being selected in the Victorian Squad. The other two i shouldnt need to explain why!

I love your optimism but dont you think it's a little early on in his AFL career to assume that? I know he's a good player. But he's hardly proven himself in the squad yet...

I know that he will be a superstar for two reasons, I worked as a coach at the Western Jets last year and saw him play all the time and the second reason is cause his dad and my mum are living together! hahaha! So I know that he will be a star, and not to be bias, but from all accounts he has had a cracker start to the season at Willi!

Gilbee is already leading in backline ( and a regular on Footy show on Sunday), Murphy with 2 good knees is huge for us in the forward line and Cross and Boyd are going to take over from Westy. Give the younger guys a couple more years yet
