Judd as Carlton Captain!
Hey all,

What do you think... Juddy is captain of the blues. He's certainly lowered his standards.. I am a little uncomfortable with another club parading a player we trained.... how does everyone else feel?

Will he get booed at subiaco? will he be treated as just another blues player?

i just reckon he didn't want to admit he wanted to leave because of the 'drug culture' at the eagles. but who cares now cause he plays like **** and carlton are paying him 7.5 million! lol!

Was my idol for a long time, but then just shat on us, no loyalty, sooky lalala mummys boy, I have lost all respect for him. I will not boo him in rd 7 but will call him everything under the sun as I am still hurting, I will probably never get over it. On to the new era of the Eagles, bring on the Crows.

Dude, it sucks that he left, but we've shown we can win without him... I think maybe you should settle down...?

There is no way in Hell I would want him back either(Not that that will ever happen.!. Do you really think Woosha wants him back, let alone his teammates?

Lauren I am so passionate about supporting our Eagles too. So when someone decides to leave I get very upset. Mitch Morton might play this week too, He is held in the same regard as Money man. Both can get stuffed. I'll calm down eventually I'm sure.

i feel for the carlton players that deserved the job more than judd. Id be pissed of if some one who just joined my team stepped in as captain before even playing one game for us. As for booing him i really hope us eagles supporters arent that pathetic.. Carn west coast for a great 2008!!

There was no one on the Carlton side to take the captaincy! There most 'mature' player was Fevola, and look what hes up to! Not exactly captain material... So they needed someone that was a good leader, and I think they picked a good person for it.

What about Stevens? Anybody who has put on the Blues jumper at least once would have been better than a bloke "who does not give a flying fat rats clacker about Carlton" who has not played one game for them. To him it's just business, no heart, no loyalty, it's all money now. That's why Afl is going to the pits IMO.

To be honest i hope juddy doesnt get booed!!! He has left our club as a brownlow medalist and our premiership captain... Do i think he should be carltons captain? No but thats their decision sp they can deal with it
Cathy from Perth (Eagles supporter), 14 Mar 2008 15:20hide comment
Did anyone watch "The Footy Show" last night? When they introduced Chris Judd a lot of the audience booed him!!
Regardless of that, it's gonna be a good year!
Chris from Bunbury (Cats supporter), 14 Mar 2008 9:04hide comment
Yeah..good on him for getting the captaincy. He is an amazing player and played exceptionally for west coast. Now he's moved on....good luck to Juddy!!
Tina from Perth (Eagles supporter), 13 Mar 2008 22:47hide comment
Will he (Judd) be treated as just another player...of course! i'm upset that he has left the Eagles but that is life....good luck t o Carlton but hopefully Eagles will cane your ass!
Rachel from Bunbury (Eagles supporter), 13 Mar 2008 15:26hide comment
I respect Judd as a player and wish him goodluck but quite frankly he is not an eagles player and shouldnt be talked about on the eagles disscusion board.

Booing Juddy is totally uncalled for, stupid and immature and anyone who does has **** for brains. I will be ashamed if anyone does because at the end of the day he was an Eagle when we won the flag and he was an Eagle when he won the Brownlow. He was a part of our team that became the best, so to Boo him would be utterly pathetic and shameful.
In my heart I dont think Carlton will do any better with him. Judd doesn't make up a whole team. He's not the ducks nuts as everyone makes him out to be.
Let the games begin and see what happens!

JUST PLEASE, NO ONE BOO HIM!!

Hmm well we aren't dockers supporters, we don't boo good players. But the fact he hesitated about the eagles captaincy, left with a premiership and the brownlow, then took carlton's captaincy.. has probably upset a few people. We moulded him and I can understand if it is a little hard to watch another club parading our prize...

I agree he's not the "ducks nuts" so to speak, he's a good player. But only as good as the people he plays with so we'll see how he goes this year. I still think the eagles will beat the pants of carlton, and booing judd moreso because he used to be an eagle is immature, but booing him because he's the opposittion - we'll that's footy and it's fun.

Good Call Cathy,
At first like most others I was a bit upset at Judd'y leaving, but the sports has moved on now and is 100% professional, same as soccer look at how many clubs most of these guys play for (I hate Soccer by the Way), the best thing we can all do to give Chris a Bad day is make sure the Eagles win more than the Carlton does, get behind the Eagles, they are a good thing this year, think of the motivation that will be going through that place at the moment.
Christine from Perth (Eagles supporter), 8 Mar 2008 18:23hide comment
He will probably get booed. That's just what happens to every great player that moves to another club. They come to play against the team they left and the "fans" boo! It seems so silly, but that's footy for you... and all other footy codes for that matter!
Stephen from Perth (Eagles supporter), 28 Feb 2008 19:30hide comment
i think that the big poof gettin the captaincy at carlton is hilarious it will do nothing but cause decension amongst the senior players some of whom should of got it like nick stevens
Mika from Colombo (Eagles supporter), 27 Feb 2008 16:59hide comment
