Reece - I LOVE Woosha, but they have to do something - and it has NOTHING to do with anyone running onto the field (not sure where you got that from??).
I am sick of hearing about re-building - that only gets you so far!

And yes - Peter Wilson was good.

I think what he was meaning was that it's the players that actually run onto the field and play the game - not Woosha. He can only do so much as the coach from up in the coaches box.

Yeah, but I think the Hawks are hanging for the break?? And I reckon they should put in a lot more effort than they did last week!!

Nope, all Friday night games are delayed and played at 8:30pm here in Adelaide unless (of course) it is the Crows or Port But hey, atleast it's only a 2hr or so delay, not 12 hours like last weekend!! Also noticed that they didn't broadcast the Hawks V Roos game Saturday because of the Port game - and that was even played here in Adelaide and definately wasn't a sell out?!?! There is also a heap of Hawks supporters here in Adelaide who I am sure were just as pissed off as I was!!

ahh thats a shame, hawks and roos would of been a better match to watch i think,

i dont understand y coll and ess are on tv a lot over here, bris go on when they play wce or freo thats about it, but eddie loves his coll so they get looked after

i think it should go live if its a sell out.

Yup, Port fans are the worst!! People say Collingwood fans are but I'm sorry, for me it's definately Port. Particularly down the end where the opposing teams cheersquad sits!! When we go when the Eagles play Port we get seats down that end cos it's easy to score front row seats (cos they struggle to pull a crowd) and they are so disgusting down that end- f'n & c'n even when there were kids all of about 5yrs sitting next to me!! They also hurl abuse at any opposition player that comes into the forward 50 down that end....and they generally have NOOOO idea of the game. I go to a lot of Crows games here with a mate who is a Crows fan cos i enjoy live footy but we don't go to the Port home game showdowns...its feral as!!!

How frustrating for you Lex!
The only reason we got Foxtel (Austar here actualy) was so we could watch the games we wanted to watch - yet we still have to turn to a free to air channel sometimes - sucks!
The hawks will be gagging for a big win after last week - hate to say it, but I think they will do us nicely
Just as long as it is not another 135 point thrashing!
Hopefully our boys are ashamed of the last game so much that they come out with some focus and determination - would just be happy to see them playing as a team.

Very funny!
Alexis from Adelaide (Eagles supporter), 24 Jun 2008 11:38 hide comment
Yeah that's the same for me. Don't get a lot of Eagles games on free to air here in Adelaide so I that's why I got Foxtel then they go and either delay the Friday night game or not cover it live at all!! This whole 7, 10 & Foxtel deal really sux!!! Bring back 9 and Fox Footy Channel!!!

Agreed, the Hawks will be disappointed with their loss and want to make amends but their last two against Adelaide & Roos have been tough!! Hopefully they are a bit tired and hanging for the break! I don't see us beating them but I do hope that they boys actually play footy this week for the Eagles, not for the opposition!!! (what was it; 10 goals to Geelong from direct turnovers by Eagles in the first half???) I'd be happy to see them be competitive throughout the whole 4 quarters!!

You said it Lex!
It was almost like De ja Vu - as soon as Cox kicked to the opposition in the opening stages, I knew we were in BIG trouble! It makes you wonder what their mind set was - there was some truly dreadful turnovers - between that and the missed shots at goal - cringe!
Cox is not 100% - he needs a rest.

Totally agree - him & Glass aren't 100%, you can see they are carrying injuries!! I think the break will be good for em too
Reece (Lions supporter), 25 Jun 2008 0:02 hide comment
yeh thats what i mean, cause the coach cant play for them
Alexis from Adelaide (Eagles supporter), 24 Jun 2008 8:06 hide comment
Nah Reece, Peter Matera - best player (and sexiest) EVER to pull on the blue & yellow

I agree with you too Reece, it isn't time for Woosha to go. The Eagles have been up for a few years now and every team goes through a rebuilding stage. Woosha has the strength and determination to get the Eagles thru it, getting rid of him would only add to the struggle! But I can understand the frustration of fans, it's not much fun to see your team loose more than they win Bring on '09 I say!!!

ohh matera was a gd player, but i wont say sexiest as im a guy if alba played footy

anyway i agree 2, if woosha goes it will stuff them up and it will take longer to rebuild.

and yeh 09 should b better for eagles, i was tlkin to a geelong player today well played for them last year, and he said eagles need to get some youth and drop some older players and then should be alright,

and the old bris players retired at once sort of thing so we got the younger players this yr we hav 8 players playin there 50th game, once you get 50 games under your belt it helps a lot,

so 09 for you guys
08 for us

Linda from Perth (Eagles supporter), 24 Jun 2008 8:20 hide comment
Why isnt he playing this year??
I LOVE Woosha - both as a coach and a player........but there was something so disturbing to see him sitting there showing no emotion when we were thrashed, and they need a MAJOR shake up - cant see what else will get thru to them....

Alexis from Adelaide (Eagles supporter), 24 Jun 2008 8:45 hide comment
Not sure why, looked up the teams on a link from AFL site and his name isn't listed - they have a lot of newies this year like Licuria & Ricciuto (f*ck struggle to spell that name even tho it was always all over our papers!!) Don't know if it's definate or not.......
Yeah, I thought the same when I saw Woosha sitting there showing no emotion but the more I think about it the more I realise that that just isn't Woosha to get all angry & uptight in front of the camera's. He's always cool, calm & collected in front of the media, probably gave the players a right bollocking tho!!! Then I read what Ben from Perth said further down this page about how Woosha didn't show anything because he knows that there is a lot of rebuilding to do and I have to agree with him.
What pissed me off more was seeing the vision of Mark Thompson sitting there towards the end of the game leaning back in his chair with his hand behind his head!! I thought that was a bit disrespectful. I know we played like absolute rubbish and it was like a training run for Geelong after the first quarter but did he have to do that??

Yeah I would not expect him to jump up and down or cry or throw the phone or anything - but even a flicker of annoyance would have been better than watching him sit there stone faced. I hope he did give them a serve after, because they deserved it. Im just sick of hearing the old "rebuilding" line - its time for some action.

I reckon they can see when they are on camera.......
Injuries have crippled us again this year and when those players come back they need a couple of games to settle back in too. Its just been one f*ck up after another - its just not our year
