Eagles list/Trade bait/Retirements
What do you guys think we r gunna do at the end of the season? Who do you think we r going to trade/cut?

Firstly I think we should trade Staker. He is young enough and has enough raw talent that i think we can get a second round draft pick for him. A handy pick to say the least. He hasnt done enough consistantly for us to justify a place on our list for another season.

We should also trade Chad Fletcher. Yes he gets a tonne of possies but more often than not his kicks go to oppostion playes. And he is soft. Any sort of pressure and he becomes such a bad player. Same as Staker. Im not sure what we can get for Fletcher but any sort of earlyish pick would be fine. Maybe 3rd round?

Also I think we should trade Beau Waters. For one main reason. His kicking is SH**!!!!!! He is tough and couragous but when you cant kick then you can be more of a weakness in the team than a strenth. Another 2nd round pick?

Mark Nicoski is another guy who does not make a huge positive impact on our team anymore but is young enough to get something for. He was good before he got injured but his decision making sucks. 3rd round pick.

Mark Seaby, 2nd or 3rd round pick when he was drafted but done nothing significant. Yes trading him may leave cox with lots of responsibility but i think hes doing it already + jamie graham and lynch can provide back up. Also will sullivan is doing quite well as a rookie. he could prob be an ok ruckman in a couple of years. So 3rd round pick for seaby.

I would have said to trade hanson as well, being injury prone and victorian (trade to a vic club) but he signed a 3 yr contract either recently or almost have. Silly wce. but anyway.

Retire. M Braun. Hes been fantastic over the years but its time to bow out. Hes getting injured more and more often and his best is past him.

One yr contract. Wirra.

This i believe will give us a decent amount of mid draft pics without losing super important playes.

I agree with most of those players!! except for Beau Waters and Mark Seaby!!! Waters has the lot but sometimes the kicking lets him down besides that he is good! Seaby we could use as a tall forward, he can take a good overhead mark the only thing is he isnt as mobile as cox and some other ruckman in the afl....... put him in the forward line and he can also give Cox a breather

Saying Waters "sometimes the kicking lets him down" is a huge understatement. He has the worst skills in our side and close to the worst in the AFL. If he gets it right he'll be a great player but he hasnt improved since he arrived.

And I believe we have enough tall forwards to cover Seaby both in the short term and long term. None of them are going to be superstars but all of them are as good as Seaby I believe. Kennedy, Hanson, Lynch, Hunter (he should play as a permanent forward the rest of his career), Chad Jones and Mckinley. Cox can rest forward and be as good as Seaby would be. Also Tony Notte (#20 draft pick last year) is apparently going to be a very very good player in a few years time. He is a tall forward.

No not Beau, we are already soft, you can't trade our hardest player, Fletch, no one would take him, Seaby, maybe he is in trouble, not even picked for the pussies, Nicoski no, give him time he lost a lot of footy through injury. worry about this at the ned of the season, let's concentrate on those pussies. Go Eagles.
