Last night's game
Recently I have been thinking that I have been watching an old Dockers team play when I have watched the Eagles. Last night was no exception. We all new we'd be in for something with Judd returning but come on, how many free kicks do ya want to give away? The attention wasn't on the game, it was on players - just how the Dockers use to play. And if things were getting a bit tough for the players, yeah, throw in a bit of biff (ala Farmer, Hedland, Carr). That should fix it right??? Puh-lease!!!! Last night was frustrasting watching all those 50 metre penalties be given away. Disgraceful.

Having said that I am loving our younger and newer boys - they are doing a great job and actually showing some great leadership qualities. Perhaps some of the older players could take a page out of their book or perhaps the selection committee should drop some of these players as a wake up call and see what we have got in reserve. I think it would be very exciting.

Calling them like the "old dockers" is very harsh. Nobody can ever be that bad ever again.

As you said we have good kids coming through. When did the "old dockers" ever have that? btw, good work melb! making the current dockers look as bad as us.

Yeah it is a bit harsh but that's what I have been seeing . The "old dockers" did have some talent, they just couldn't put it together...nothing has changed...but my "old dockers" comment also referred to the zillion and one hand balls, indecision, lack of direction and concentrating more on the man than on the game. This is not what West Coast's game has been about.

As a side comment and totally off the topic... it really shouldn't matter that Judd and Cousins have gone - it is time to suck it up and move on...and perhaps everyone needs to take that on board...the media, the commentators, the general public.

The first half was PATHETIC! Luckily they restored a bit of faith in the second half. Why don't they play like that all the time????
I am having trouble finding friends to come along to the game with me on my spare tickets. The last few years, I had friends begging to go along.
But I have faith that they'll get it together eventually.

Fully agree with everything you say Ross. If you still have trouble finding people to go to the game I am always here!!!

I totally agree with Narelle. They played dorckers football. The first half was pathetic. They played the man not the footy. 50 metre penalties are unacceptable in this day and age - especially when they result in goals. The only good thing about this weekends round of footy was watching (with pleasure) the dockers get their arses whooped by Melbourne.
